Situated directly on the golden sands of Grange Beach, Grange Cottage sits on two acres of tropical woodland and provides secluded, quiet, unpretentious and understated accommodation in a 4-bedroom two-storey house.
We spent five days at Grange Beach during our 2006 visit. Jill was in seventh heaven with the stunning beachside location. Grange beach provides wonderful swimming conditions when the surf is not running high - and when it is, watching the surfers is a great way to pass the time. The cottage is simple and basic, but represent a great beachside home-from-home.

Grange Cottage is located directly on the golden sands of stunning Grange Beach on the beautiful Caribbean coast of Tobago. The cottage offers comfortable holiday accommodation for parties of up to eight persons. There is a rustic charm in the simplicity of this lovely cottage.
The four bedroom beach house sits on two acres of tropical woodlands and is shaded by coconut palms, samaan and almond trees and other exotic foliage. Quiet, unpretentious and understated, Grange Cottage provides the essentials for your unique Caribbean vacation in beautiful Tobago.
Sitting on the edge of the Caribbean Sea, the cottage is ideally located for most of Tobago's most popular restaurants, supermarkets and beaches. It is ideally suited to birders and nature lovers, scuba divers, snorkelers, and surfers (the world renowned Mt. Irvine surf break is virtually on your doorstep). If you wish to try a round of golf, the 18-hole championship golf course at Mt. Irvine hotel is just across the road.

Grange Cottage offers ideal accommodation for parties of up to eight people.
Accommodation at the Cottage is on two floors and offers four bedrooms, two bathrooms each with vanity, toilet and shower enclosure. The bedrooms are provided with twin beds, a ceiling fan, wardrobe and dressing table. There is a rustic charm in this simplicity. The focal point of the Cottage is undeniably its spacious open air wooden verandah with wide, comfortable armchairs where you can sit and soak in the bird calls or the sound of the Caribbean surf while watching the lizards play hide and seek amidst the foliage below. The verandah has a large picnic table which can seat eight comfortably.
A gas fired BBQ is provided on the verandah for those days when you feel the urge to indulge in this style of cooking. Alternatively there is a well equipped kitchen with 23 cu ft frost-free fridge, 30" gas stove with oven, toaster, electric kettle, coffee percolator, microwave oven, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. For your first morning some simple supplies are provided to start your day.
On the ground floor the laundry facilities which you may use include a washer and dryer and you are provided with a full set of bed and bath linens for your stay. The cottage has a telephone with restricted use for domestic calls only. However phone cards are readily available for purchase throughout the island for those who need to access locations outside of Trinidad and Tobago.
The entire property is fenced and electronically secured to ensure your privacy and security. Guests select one of several options of guard service ranging from scheduled patrols to an on-site guard. The cost varies depending upon the type of guard service selected.
This is a quiet and secluded beach location yet within easy access to some good local restaurants - the Shirvan Watermill, Patino's, the Papillon, La Tartaruga, the Emerald and the Mount Irvine Bay hotel and golf course. Arrangements can be made for car rental if you require. Similarly if you wish to arrange for a cook or housekeeper during your stay, this can be done.
