Blue Haven Review - Vintage/retro Style 17 May 2005

Hi all,
just got back after 2 weeks @ Blue Haven ... I'll go later next weeks with a detailed review ... but just as quick as possible right now:
extremely interesting accomodation, romantic, quiet, unforgettable sea-view from every room ... do not expect overwhelming luxury, it's super-comfortable as it has to be, nice, clean and the restaurant food is simply super !!! Staff xtremely friendly.
Just some small remarks for details such as: missing matches, a little bit of paint in some corners cannot be a mistake 
, the deck overlooking the ocean could be better arranged, some shutters to be refurbished.
My vote for the poll is VERY GOOD.

Blue Haven- Distance To Scarborough 07 Apr 2005

I'm confused! I have read various reviews which say it is a 10 minute walk into Scarborough but have just found another one that says it's 2 miles. Now I like walking but most people actually only walk about 2 miles an hour pace. So these "facts" are mutually exclusive. Is it really feasible to walk to a restaurant in the evening or would a taxi be more realistic?

Dear all
I'm a little bit troubled with this dressing code stuff whenever I visit a totally unknown country/place/hotel. Surely my girlfriend is a great help getting me worried 
, nevertheless I have to admi sometimes she's right abou that.
Any suggestions for style in Blue Haven ? do they require kind of elegant style for dinner ? anything else should I know before getting there ?

Hello! We will spend a week of our honeymoon in Tobago and I have read a lot about different accommodations there. But canīt still decide where to stay! These are the things I wonder about:
- Has the Grafton Beach resort more ideal location than the Blue Haven for seeing the islandīs attractions? I mean, does it get expensive to do daytrips from Blue Haven? We donīt want to stay in a hotel all day long.. I also wonder is it safe to drive a car in Tobago (and expensive to hire one) or would it be better to go to arranged tours?
- I found a deal for Grafton Beach resort that is 194.60 USD/night for two AI and Blue Haven 206 USD breakfast only. Is Blue Haven worth it or should we save our money and go to Grafton Beach? I have read that it takes 20 minutes with taxi from Blue Haven to get to the other restaurants. Is it expensive to eat in Blue Haven not having AI?
- First I thought about going to Arnos Vale hotel, but I have doubts about scruffyness (I donīt know if that is a right word..): harmony colors and simpleness of the room are important to me.. Also Coco Reef has been under consideration, but it is too expensive for us. And donīt know if Castara region would be better than the ones which I now mainly consider...Aargh!!!
So, any help would be nice! Thanks in advance

I've been looking on-line for travel companies/agents that list the Blue Haven Hotel.
So far I've only found the hotel featured in the Virgin holidays and Kuoni brochures. Are there others?
I guess my real requirement is to find the cheapest package deal to the Blue Haven Hotel for later this year (November). Any help would be gratefully received.
