Guest Report - Store Bay Holiday Resort

Avril And Husband from Trinidad visited in February 2008 and awarded  One out of Five

My husband and I stayed Store Bay Holiday Resort for 3days 2 nights and it was a very uncomfortable stay. When we first arrived I hotel grounds were poorly maintained the little greenry needed to be trimmed. We were taken to a ground floor room after we had requested an upstairs room upon booking. This room contained a twin bed and I could not imagine how my husband and I were supposed to sleep there. We were toldthe 'girl' made a mistake but the other guests did not arrive as yet to they took us upstairs.

The room was awkardly planned divided in two by a closet with the bed in one side and the kitchen on the other.

The bed linen though faded in colour appeared to be clean until I discoved a strand of red hair. I later discovered the same in one of the towels and a large hole in a used to be white towel.

The pool didnt looking inviting to venture in.

I thought the standard of this place was very low and poorly represented our country. There are even smaller places on the island that provide a higher quality of service at reasonable prices better represent Tobago. I'm ashamed that persons travel across the globe to visit tobago and stayed at this hotel.

If anyone is interesting in coming to Tobago particulary with agroup looking for reasonable rates, look at the houses nad villas posted on this site, as I have recently discoved!!

Guest Report - Store Bay Holiday Resort

Alan Rambaran from U.K. visited in July 2007 and awarded  Two out of Five

This resort cater mainly for locals ie Trinidadians and the standard is perhaps not geared up for overseas tourist who expect something more up market. It's ok as a base or somewhere to sleep. Outside their is two bars which can be a bit noisey at times. The staff are nice, friendly and helpful.

No Frills - Good Value

Kim Muller from Canada visited in June 2007 and awarded  Three out of Five

We stayed at the Store Bay Resort on June 23/24, 2007. The rate was $TT380 per night (around $50CAD) so we weren't expecting the Hilton. The hotel is in a very convenient location, less than 5 minute walk from the airport and Store Bay Beach, ample parking, private and clean pool area, nice sun deck on the upper level and very amicable staff who allowed us to check in at 10am and check out at 2pm. We felt quite secure at this establishment.

Ours was a self catering room (205) with fridge, stove, table and chairs, etc. and a separate bedroom area with a small but comfortable double bed, nice cold A/C, and cable TV. The bathroom was quite shabby but the towels were clean and the shower produced a good supply of hot water. We didn´t use the small private deck on the one side of our room because the larger sun deck was on the other side with nicer chairs and even a double swinging chair.

Be advised that if you´re looking for a quiet place to stay – this is not the place. But, if you´re into ´liming´ with the locals until 2 am on a Friday or Saturday night, you´ll enjoy yourself here. Lot's of eateries in the immediate vacinity so you won't go hungry.

Basically – no frills but good value for the cost.

These People Are A Total Rip Off

Mellissa Peony from Trinidad visited in April 2007 and awarded  One out of Five

I made reservations at this hotel but we canceled our trip way ahead in advance because we couldn't make it.....after some time i decided to get a refund of my money and after several attempts to contact the manager she informed me that they never made a log of my cancellation so therefore she refused to give me my money back.....these people are a total rip off because its my word against some worker who didn't do her job...this is bad service to the max
