A Dream Villa !!

Our trip to Tobago started in a hotel next to the airport however such a massive hotel is not what we preferred.

The first evening we went out to diner and picked the restaurant Lattitude 11 where we had an amazing meal (in my opinion the best restaurant on Tobago, a real MUST DO !).

We chatted with the owner (Christian) and he told us about his Mirage villa where he still had rooms available. We did not have to think twice. The next day Christian and his wife Utisha picked us up (!!) and we drove to Black Rock.

WOW...I COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES...what a WONDERFUL villa, directly at the beach !! Thanks to the hospitality of the owners, the dreamy villa and the beach in front of our doorstep this holiday was truly an amazing experience.

We stayed for one week at he Coco Reef and for one week at villa mirage, Coco Reef was nice but Villa Mirage was perfect, it is clean, there are 8 rooms with very nice furnitures, a large pool, a kitchen where you can prepare perfect dinner, ther is a large grill to make barbecue, the beach is about 2 km long, perfect for jogging before brakfast, Utisha and Christian, the owner, are very friendly and helpful, Christian is a perfect cook, he is the owner of Lattitude 11, the best restaurant in tobago, one time he made dinner for us at villa mirage, lamb, lobbster, prawns..., it was great. Villa Mirage was a very good choice, if i'll come back I stay at villa mirage again, but his time for my whole holidays

Villa Mirage is a wonderful place for a big family party – we had 5 couples and 3 children and there was always somewhere to hide away and 'lime' if you wanted to.

The manager, Christian is really, really helpful and a fantastic chef ... he did several multi-course dinners and a barbecue for us – all memorable.

We loved being able to just step out on to the beach .....

Only drawback would be the location ... Black Rock seems to suffer from a hungry mosquito, sand fly and noseeum population. We needed 10 coils, 6 citronella candles, electric anti-mosquito things and lashings of Jungle Formula or OFF! Maybe it was the time of year. (Easter)
