Infinitely Excellent

Peter Dunkley from U.K. visited in August 2007 and awarded  Five out of Five

We did shamefully (a.k.a. blissfully) little during our recent two weeks in Tobago, and I blame this partly on our two exam'd-out teenagers but mostly on Infinity Villa. It was, quite simply, an absolute pleasure to be in.

I won't attempt to describe it all since Steve Wooler's almost forensic resport does that perfectly. But the key to it is that you're staying in beautifully designed and furnished home, rather than just renting a property. And this is re-inforced by the terrific team that Sara has assembled to look after you; from the genial Hugh, who picks you up at the airport, to the 'master of ceremonies' Kelson the House Manager, and Betty-Ann who keeps the place spotless (and even brought us fabulous mangoes from her garden).

Just minutes away is Bacolet, which in our view is pretty much the perfect beach: an intimate, horsehoe-shaped sweep of sand, complete with a bar. This is overlooked by the Blue Haven Hotel, and Infinity's very handy arrangement meant we could charge up drinks and lunches. It's a beautiful place to have a cocktail as the sun sets, made all the more lyrical by their rum punches; we later discovered these are laced with 'puncheon', which the label proudly describes as being not less that 75% alcohol.

But it's with a clear head (now) that I can recommend Infinity as a beautiful place to stay. Thanks to all who made it so, and we hope to return.

Guest Report - Infinity Villa

Amisha Patel from U.K. visited in November 2006 and awarded  Five out of Five

The Infinity villa is by far the most beautiful villa I have ever stayed in. It is effortlessy tasteful and luxurious – without being over the top gross. We had an amazing, unfrogetable holiday and this was mostly due to our fantastic accomodation – and of course the beatufiul island of Tobago itself. I loved Infinity Villa and if I had the cash I'd buy it!

Our Stay At Infinity Villa.......

Steve Taylor from U.K. visited in April 2006 and awarded  Five out of Five

We stayed at Infinity Villa for our honeymoon in September 2006.

As soon as we touched down in Tobago, the staff at Infinity Villa had arranged for a taxi to pick us up at the airport, the taxi driver Hugh was on hand to take our bags and welcome us. He then took us to the supermarket to pick up provisions for our stay before driving us to the Villa.

The grounds in which the villa are located (part of the Blue Haven Hotel) are protected by security guards – 24 hours a day, one of which sits at a large white gate letting people in and out. After being allowed to drive into the compound we then drove a short way up to our villa gates. After pressing the buzzer we were greeted by the villa manager Kelson who escorted us into the grounds of the villa. Our first impression of the very large mango coloured building in front of us was "Wow, surely this cannot be all ours for the two weeks?". Kelson escorted us up the drive, past the Banana trees to our front door.

As soon as the front door opened the full beauty of the villa was revealed, what we saw was a large open plan living area with glass patio doors alongside the far end with a swimming pool overlooking a impressive view of the Atlantic ocean.

Kelsons first words were "Welcome to Infinity Villa".

Oh my god , never have I seen such an impressive living area with such an amazing view, I was truely gobsmacked.

After picking up my jaw from the floor, we were shown around the villa by Kelson who I must say was extremely

helpfull and such a welcoming and warm person, he showed us the many bedrooms before showing us the room that

we were to stay in which had rose petals scattered on the bedroom floor and a chilled bottle of wine ready for

drinking, which i must say was very welcome after our 10 hour flight from the UK.

When Kelson left, I really had to ask my new wife to pinch me, not only had we just had the dream wedding but now we were in the dream villa in the dream country.

The villa really is massive, and could easily accomadate 8 people comfortably. We did seem to rattle around a bit but that didn't pose much of a problem.

The aircon in the bedrooms is excellent with much needed chilling power although there is no aircon in the main living area, but with all 4 sets of doors open out to the Atlantic the sea breeze is very refreshing:-)

The whole villa is immaculate and clean owing to the maid that comes in early everyday and cleans every room.

I am finding it hard to think of anything bad to say about it, it really is a wonderful villa located in the perfect place, the owners have really spent alot of time paying attention to detail with the furniture and decor.

If you have never visited Tobago then you will probably not be aware of the little yellow birds that fly around your house looking for brown sugar or other sweet things, these little critters are called bananaquits and once you get used to the fact that they are not going to mess everywhere they are quite beautiful and have a lovely chirping song.

I would highly recommend this villa to anyone, the scenery and the ambience is perfect,

it really is Heaven on Earth.

The villa is on the grounds of the Blue Haven hotel, who apparantly offer guests with access

to all its facilities, we had trouble with this as they did no accept my Maestro card, so we could

not open up a credit account, but there did not seem to be many facilities at the hotel to use really so this was no great deal. We did find the staff very snooty and not very helpful so decided to give this place a miss.

We found an ideal place for eating out, just a stones throw away from the villa and directly opposite the Blue Haven, this was the Half Moon Hotel, we went there most mornings for breakfast, which for 80TTD included fresh fruit, coffee/tea, toast with bacon and eggs and was served by some very helpful

friendly staff.

Also if your looking for a very friendly guide or Taxi then give Stafford Taylor a call, he was very helpful indeed, his number is stuck on the telephone by the kitchen.
