An amazing place. A huge balcony to take in the view and the breeze. A great kitchen to cook up some of the fresh fish bought from the co-op. There were all the basic supplies but we left behind some awesome little spice packets that we found in a local kiosk. Hopefully someone enjoyed it.
Bruce is wonderful and was a pleasure to talk to; it was a breeze settling in (drop luggage, strip off clothes, go to beach).
The beach is just a minute away down the hill. Going back up, is a hike, so if you're creaky or disabled, this place unfortunately will not work for you.
Bruce even lent us some snorkeling gear. woohoo!
highly recommended to anyone visiting castara, unless we'll be visiting, in which case, the top left apartment is a horrible horrible place;)

We stayed in Lillibets for 2 weeks at the end of April and first week in May. It was coming up to season change i.e. dry to wet.
The weather was fantastic as was the service from Lillibets. We were informed from Lillibets before our departure everything we would need to know about getting around the island from car transport to exchange rates. They were only to pleased to help.
On our arrival into Crown Point airport we were met by Bruce, Lillibets Castara representitive. Bruce was great fun on our transfer and has a vast knowledge of the island and it's history. He was always available for any queries or info.
Bruce was able to arrange all the activities we wanted to do in Tobago, from car rental to fishing trips. And the rates were extremely reasonable.
On our arrival to Lillibets we were pleased to see all the comforts of home. From a gas cooker to air conditioned bedrooms. A bundle of clean fluffy towels were at our disposal. The huge selling point of these apartments is the large balcony overlooking Castara bay. A view that is still the wallpaper on our laptop!
The fishing/snorkeling trip is an absolute must. We traveled around various bays, snorkeled in the reefs and saw a hole host of beautiful fish and wildlife.
It is very hard to sum up the whole "Lillibets, Tobago" experience but i'll give it a whirl.........
If you are wanting a relaxing holiday in a beautiful place with all the comforts of home you couldnt beat Lillibets. The whole holiday was made more special by the people that we met who looked after us and made us feel so welcome, Bruce and Charlie from Lillibets, the boathouse crew, the local lads at D Lime and most importantly from the Lads point of view Mr Codrington who kept us in steady supply of cold Carib and Rum!!!
Crikey writing all this has made me all wistful. Between the 4 of us who travelled on this holiday we have all agreed that of all the many places we have been from India to Mexico and most of europe Tobago and Lillibets is top of our list of places to go back to!!

We stayed at Lillibets for a week at the beginning of March this year, a group of 8 of us taking over all four apartments.
After ages spent researching Tobago and accomodation we were not disappointed with our choice of Lillibets in any way. The apartments are not luxurious but perfectly comfortable with splendid views across Castara Bay (the best views from the upper apartments). The bay itself is fantastic – not crowded at all with snorkelling just off shore.
Castara itself is possibly the most beautiful part of Tobago's coastline – certainly of the parts we visted which was most of the island except the northern part.
The people on Tobago are far friendlier than elsewhere in the Caribbean, there being no better example than Bruce to whom our thanks go for looking after us so well. Nothing was too much trouble and he is permanantly smiling and laughing. We hope to return before too long to hear the rest of his story and to listen to him and his friend Simon playing their guitars.
To sum up – a wonderful holiday in a beautiful place, thoroughly recommended.

Heavenly Bay....what else must I say?
we stayed for a week at lillibets and were absolutely astonished about the appartments. The rooms were perfect and the 2 appartments above are amazing. we woke up from hearing the sweet melody of the sea! after slowing down our west european pace, we soon adopted to the tobagonian speed of life.
there is a post office, a bakery, a laundry, a few small shops and 3-4 restaurants. we hardly had to leave castara, because we had everything in our range.
walking down the 40 steps to the beach, i could hardly believe, that the beach wasn`t filled to capacity although it was spring break!
it seems like a private beach for yourself, since only 5-10 people were lying on the beach.
the beach restaurant serves food and drinks and you can put it on the bill of your room. grand.
the bay is perfect for snorkeling along with king fish and sting rays!!
The mighty three, Tom, Liz and Bruce, realy do anything possible to make your day a perfect stay!
thanks a million!

We stayed one week in March 2008 at Lillibets. The appartment has a really stunning view over the bay, is very quiet an absolutely peaceful. We left the windows open all day and night without having to worry about any burglar. Thanks to the high roof, the appartment is nice breezy, not hot. Comfortable cane armchairs are provided and we sat for hours on the large balcony in the shade, enjoying the view and reading a book. We also enjoyed the peaceful simming directly downstairs (only few stairs) from the house.
Tom and Liz and Bruce are really very friendly and warm-hearted. We were invited for BBC (including the Tobago famous pigtails and lots of fish). Thank you for the nice evening, Tom and Liz.
When we arrived th first day, we found the sofa in the appartment rather spotty, but after telling Tom and Liz they cleaned it the very next day so we felt comfortable.
