A wonderful place to stay on this lovely island.
The villa and views are so good, that it's hard to tear yourself away to go sightseeing. The positioning of the villa has ensured that welcome cool winds waft down the side of the valley taking in the terraces of the villa, and to lie listening to the sound of the sea and the birds, is heaven. We enjoyed bird watching at Arnos vale and then snorkelling in the cove below there.
The villa, pool and jacuzzi are of a very high standard In fact, nowhere in the world have we swum in a more beautiful pool. The villa itself is elegant and beautifully appointed.

An exquistite location with magnificent views. An ideal spot to chill out with friends. The swimming pool is the best we have ever used in a villa – an infinity pool which is big enough to clock up decent lengths.
Each bedroom has its own terrace and the house is so spacious that one can always find a secluded spot to read quietly – even with a full house.
The design, furnishings and fittings are new and superb quality. Service from the staff is excellent.
Wonderful bird life and a short walk down to the beach where there is excellent safe snorkelling were added bonuses.
We loved it and will certainly be going back with the family, although we would not recommend it for very small children.

Our party, and friends staying elsewhere, were delightfully surprised when we arrived at the villa! Not only beautiful but clean and well furnished above all expectations. Coming from the states we were a bit apprehensive about renting sight unseen but we couldn't have made a better decision. I would be happy to refer others here, in fact, we met a couple on the way home from out east and we gave them the address of the villa owners! We would be happy to answer any questions from people interested in renting this villa. Now, we need to find an occasion to return!
Our daughter had intended to get married at the Arnos Vale Waterwheel but they changed plans and were married in front of the pool and had the dinner at Arnos Vale.

I´ll use one word to sum up our stay at Kapinjala – Paradise!
The beautifully designed and furnished house rests on a hilltop overlooking one of the most sheltered bays with great snorkelling. The house itself is stunning with more than generous room sizes (all en-suite) with a magnificent master bedroom with it´s own four posted bed overlooking the sea. The views from the pool and the bedrooms are spectacular. The house (with its own housekeeper) provides hotel living. And if that´s not enough a welcome dinner of local cuisine is ready and waiting on your arrival.
You have to explore the island and the island life. In doing so you can find a Lobster diver who will fish for fresh Lobster! Grilled on the BBQ with garlic butter is just delightful. Time it right and you will also see giant Leather Back Turtles giving birth to 100 eggs. Something just amazing and rare to see.
Visit Nylon Pool by boat and have a BBQ lunch on a deserted island. The water is crystal clear. It has to be one of the most stunning place I´ve ever visited – a place a man could propose to his future wife!
We stayed 10 nights and we were reluctant to leave the villa as it had everything we needed and wanted. The occasional shopping trip (by car) and boat trip (picked up from the bay below) was quite enough excitement.
We loved it so much we have booked to spend two weeks of our honeymoon back at Kapinjala. I am counting the days!

It is always difficult travelling to a new country, booking a villa from photographs as they never live up to your expectations. How wrong can you be!! We arrived by taxi laid on by the owners, drove up to the front thinking this looks ok. Then we walked in, wow, it was amazing. Superbly appointed, spotlessly clean and greeted with a smile and a rum punch, fantastic. We then took our drinks outside and was greeted by a beautiful 120' panoramic view out across the undulating countryside and the only protected bay on the island and out to the ocean, spectacular.
The kitchen was well equipped with everything one would expect from home. A welcome pack already laid on meant we didn't have to worry about food and drink until the next day. There was a superb meal laid on for us by the housekeeper. We were able to change into our shorts and enjoy the rest of the day. It was as good as staying in a top class hotel without the checking in and other holiday makers.
The location of the villa is about 20-30 minutes from the airport, in a tranquil, isolated, yet not remote position. It has been cleverly designed to look modest from the front and a mansion (to take advantage of the view) from the rear. Incidentally the external photographs do not do the villa any justice. The infinity pool is wonderful, a decent size to actually swim in. There was nothing better than cooling off, enjoying the view, well apart from sitting in the Jacuzzi with rum punch watching the sunsets. The weather was great, with temperatures in the low 30's. Generally there was a cooling breeze throughout the day so the large south facing terrace remained comfortable. Having said this should you want to escape the sun, there was always the open covered veranda.
nFinally, the Island itself, having stayed on various islands in the Caribbean, I have to say this is probably the least commercialised and unspoilt, which was a pleasant surprise and felt safe and secure throughout my stay.
The holiday was for 2 weeks and the time flew by. I was able to enjoy 14 days in the sun by arriving in the at lunchtime and leaving as the sun was setting. Incidentally the flight home took just 7 hours and twenty minutes. I had a superb holiday and a wonderful stay. Thank you.
