Me and my family stayed here in December of 2007. While we had no major issues with the our accommodation. The level of customer service a little inconsistent. That is to say, the hotel reception and bar staff were very friendly. However the restaurant staff gave the impression that they "had seen it all before. Who cares if your a guest here". Left unabated, this attitude could have an adverse impact on the number of guest that return to the hotel.

Having said that, overall I would recommend this hotel to other guests (on a Budget or with a large family. I.E more than two children)as it is situated in a great location. One of the most popular beaches in Tobago is Pigeon Point which is approximately 3-5 mins drive from the hotel. The pool area was always clean and wasn't over crowded and there was easy access from the hotel to another popular beach which is Store Bay. I guess the big question is, would I stay there again? Well the answer is yes. It has a lot more going for it despite one or two staff members still unaware of where their salaries come from.

I really enjoyed my stay there. The staff were very professional and the entertainment was great. When there was no entertainment the surroundings were peacefull and serene.I fully entend to go back someday either with a friend or alone just to relax and enjoy my stay.

They tried to add at least two, sizeable extra restaurant bills to our final account when we were leaving. I'm talking $100's. The bills were registered to our room. On both occassions we were only able to prove it because we had ate at the restaurant at the same time. it took a while before they accepted my argument; that we did not order dinner twice on the same day and on 2 different occassions. It was very suspicious and I strongly suspect it was an inside job, hopefully by a few staff rather than systemic. The bills were very evidently ,purposefully placed into ours as they were not in rotation like the others.

Local outsiders were using the bar (We only saw one of these people being removed and that was when they became excessively violent.)and restaurant regularly. they were very friendly with the staff and socialised together a lot. We speculate that they might be the ones charging it to our room with help from the desk/restaurant staff.

we advised the management of the issue and received no apologies. The shift manager never apologised or offered any explanation. I felt I was the one responsible for discovering it.They grew frustrated as I insisted on checking every item on the bill.

The young 'Indian ' manager, I can't recall her name was very friendly but the only staff who made an effort to be so.

Beautiful spot, lovely pool, food OK (More variety provided in high season)but plenty of eating places within walking distance, including all the local specialities. Easy walk from airport (5 minutes)2 minutes walk through the gardens to the beach but take care when bathing and NEVER ignore the Lifeguard signs, even when it looks OK freak waves can come along – I know it happened to me and I was only standing on the beach! The gardens are pleasant, the views great, the people lovely and the bar just right for drinks anytime of day and night. You could stay here for the whole holiday or use it as a jumping off place to tour the island. Local trips for days out available. I had to change my dates of stay at short notice and the staff were helpful and accommodating and there was no extra charge for the alterations to dates. Would go again. Suitable for anyone, including families with children. I was by myself on my way to Trinidad and felt very safe. Room fine but only used it for sleeping as I was out most of the time. Enjoy yourselves!

My choice of this hotel began with a long hard search online of all the available hotels close to airport or seaport. Since Crown Point offered conveniences such as restaurant, a/c rooms, beach view and walking distance from airport all in one I finally made the selection.

My stay there was for my honeymoon and even though it was 3 days, it was wonderful with few complaints. To begin with when we got to our upstairs room I didn't expect such an exquisite view of the ocean (even though there was a palm tree blocking piece of the view but obviously not the hotel's fault). The room was clean (as far as we could tell) and comfortable. The problem was the bath soap was those itsy bitsy size which is impossible to hold let alone bathe so we had to request more the first day we were there. Another issue – no microwave. Everything else of the room was fine. Very powerful aircondition too.

The bar and restaurant, well I wouldn't call it a restaurant. The problem there was not a wide variety of items to choose from to eat. Mostly burgers and fries and stuff like what you get in TGI Fridays in Trinidad. But what we had one of the days – burgers – were delicious. Drinks too were good. My stay was good. It's hard sometime to determine when is the low season beacuse it seems as though when I check the price changes every month. I can't seem to ever hear the same price I paid when I went which was TT$360/night approx US$60/night. But if I had to go back I want an upstairs room – not necessarily the same one – but one with a view like before. When I talk about going Tobago my husband says "Oh we should go where we went for our honeymoon. There was nice." But then again what's the price this time? Hmmm...
