Just returned from yet another fantastic stay at Hummingbird Heights,this time my mate and i stayed in the B&B accomodation rather than the appartment.It's a lovely comfortable room with en-suite bathroom/shower etc and has A/C which is a very welcome relief if you need to cool down during the heat of the day.We found that the fans also provided in the room were just the job though and didnt need to use the A/C.
As always we were looked after by Shirley who owns and runs HH and the breakfasts were wonderful and really set us up for the day ahead.
I'm already planning and looking forward to my next trip and i highly recommend Hummingbird Heights as THE place to stay for a thoroughly relaxing time on Tobago.

My 4th visit to Hummingbird Heights and 5th to wonderful Tobago in two years! I have definately fallen for the place,the people,culture,food etc and of course Hummingbird Heights,which,i can highly recommend as THE place to stay when visiting the island.
Shirley is the perfect hostess and makes you feel right at home,her local knowledge is incredible so whether you're new to the island or a repeat visitor there's always something to learn as she ensures your perfect break.
Cant wait to return!

My third time at Hummingbird Heights and again a fantastic holiday was had.Shirley is the perfect hostess and her knowledge of the island is amazing,from restaurants and bars to all the best beaches,she'll point you in the right direction and even arrange tours etc.The apartment is clean and well equipped and the pool is absolutely superb, the perfect place to cool off after a day exploring.
Shirleys Jeep hire is very good value for money and is an excellent way to tour the island at your leisure.
Hummingbird Heights is Very Highly Recommended and i am very much looking forward to returning again soon.

Following an excellent flight with Excel Airways we landed in Tobago and was greeted by Shirley at the Airport. This was our third visit to Tobago and our second to the beautiful Hummingbird Heights and we were all very excited to be back.
After a 15 min drive we arrived at HH to be greeted by a very welcomed Rum punch and fruit punch for the children plus a huge plate of freshly made sandwiches...yum!
We made our way up to the appartment and began to settle in, it's a lovely place,very clean, tidy and relaxing with stunning views of the sea and Scarborough from the balcony.
Next morning we were all up bright and early and following breakfast we were in the pool for a cooling dip. HH has to have one of the best (and cleanest) pools on the island,it is cleaned meticulously every morning by Flash the poolman who does a marvelous job in keeping it in tip top condition. (pool fridge for ice cold beer too )
Shirleys jeep hire is very cheap and is a must for getting out and about exploring the island.
Our week at HH was brilliant and Shirley is the perfect hostess with a wealth of local knowledge and expertise to make any guest feel relaxed and welcome.We all had a great time and i highly recommend Hummingbird Heights to anyone wishing to self cater as in my view it's unbeatable! So go...see...and enjoy.And i guarantee you'll want to go back.

A Very Nice Spot To Base Your Tobago Vacation From 16 Feb 2006

We had the pleasure of staying at Hummingbird in early Feb., 2006.
The suite was everything we could hope for at a very good price. It is spacious, clean, bright, airy and just feels right for a Caribbean vacation. Shirely took an interest in seeing to it that we were happy with the arrangements and shared advice on dining and other activities. Being picked up and dropped off at the airport was a very nice touch. The pool and grounds are very nice and well maintained. I will recommend Hummingbird to friends who are looking for something other than traditional hotel or luxury villa style accomodation.
You do need to be an early riser or have some earplugs because the roosters like to go hard in the morning trying to establish who can crow the loudest. You tend to get accustomed to it and start your day earlier which is a good thing overall.
The rental jeep was very reliable, it did not let me down, brakes were good, inspection certificates are in place but......it is a rough vehicle to operate and not comfortable. Those accustomed to a newer machine may not like using this one. That said, Shirley's rates are at the low end for vehicle rental.
