Ann's Guesthouse - Reader Reports & Opinion

The apartment was in a nice location, easy to find, I didn't have to call the host for directions, the map was useful enough. The rooms were larger than I expected, the kitchen as well, so I was delightfully surprised. The price was also quite a good deal. Lots of grocery shopping at walking distance, literally a minute's walk. The host herself was quite friendly. Quiet place. My family and I really had a nice quiet time there. The only slight issue was the water pressure in the shower. But it was workable.

We really enjoyed staying at Annīs guesthouse for 3 weeks. We felt very comfortable and would like to come back at any time. Ann is a very friedly host and takes good care of her guests. Annīs place is a very good choice. Thanks

Ann's guest house is a very nice, well equipped (there is WLAN, cooling fans, toaster, freezer and so on and even a plating iron), clean apartment in the middle of the village of BonAccord. When I say 'in the middle' this means that there are hens and cocks running around (nobody knows which one belongs to whom) and not far is a small goat farm. You have a small garden in front of the house where you can sit and have your breakfast or meals cooked in the well-equipped kitchen. Little shops where you get the essential are within minutes' distance.
Ann is a caring, open minded and extremely nice person and always ready to give advice and explain how life is on the island. The place is about 2 km from the beach and 4 km from Radical Sports in Pigeon Point. So, if you want to go wind surf or kite you are better off renting a bike, a scooter or a car. We were happy with the scooter although you might get wet if you happen to be on the road just when a short rain refreshes the park-like lawns around.
Should we visit Tobago again, we certainly would come back to this place, be it only to meet Ann again.

My family had a wonderful stay at Ann's Guesthouse. Although Ann was off-island at the time, her staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. The furniture in the suite was a little bit tired, but the location and friendliness of Ann's staff more than made up for it. We will definitely return to Ann's Guesthouse when we return to Tobago next year!

Ann's Guesthouse was exactly what we were looking for in a beach retreat. It is simple, yet very cheery with its lovely pastel colors.
Far from the distraction and noise of the more touristy areas, you can still get to the Store Bay Beach in minutes for about fifty U.S. cents by hailing a car on the street. It is also ideally located within walking distance to the only major supermarket on the island, as well as a very decent bakery.
I notice that one of the earlier commenters on the site mentions poor water pressure. True, you won't get a strong stream of hot water in the shower, but that is a very common situation in countries where most people don't have hot water heaters with a pump. We certainly found it comparable to the showers at other places in which we stayed, and by turning down the water flow to concentrate the hot water, we were quite pleased with the result.
Ann's is an excellent choice for an economical stay and you will feel very well cared for in a family environment.
