We stayed in these apartment for 1 week this February 2008 and can't praise them enough. The entire property is spotless. The apartment we stayed in was very spacious, huge in fact. The garden is great for birdwatching lots of birds come to feed.

Victor and Ursaline are lovely people always ready to have a chat.

What I loved most about these apartments is that they are on the edge of a Tobagan village with no tourist just local people going about their daily lives.Don't forget to give the kids a lift home from school we had two that use to catch us every day

I stayed in the one bedroom apartment for a week

It is on the first floor at the back of the property. It is spacious, clean, comfortable, well maintained, well equipped, quiet and private.

The view over the mature gardens is beautiful, and the balcony is up at tree high level.

The balcony catches the early morning sun, and is in welcome shade for the rest of the day.

The trees are laden with fruit and the variety of birds that visit are a delight to watch.

The owner feeds the birds and the photo opportunities are endless.

The property is in a quiet location , but is also close by ameinities.

I would certainly stay again and would

highly recommend this accommodation to anyone.

There are also two larger apartments on the site.

Excellent accomodation, spotlessly clean and well maintained.Beautiful gardens that attract lots of birds. Quiet position, a reasonable walk from the centre of the village but convenient for accessing the nearby beaches, or transport into Scarborough. Mr and Mrs Forde, the owners, were extremely helpful and welcoming. We stayed in all 3 of the apartments during the course of our stay and found them all to be comfortable and well equipped. A great place to stay and wonderful value for money

We had 2.5 weeks in Victor and Ursaline Forde's immaculate 2 bedroom apartment. We stayed over Christmas and their hospitality included bringing us a Christmas tree and ornaments to decorate as well as a full Christmas dinner delivered to us by Victor. We got their leftovers and they were the best leftovers I've had! It was a great chance to sample real Tobago home cooking. Everyday they stopped by to say hello and make sure we had everything we needed. They were friendly but unobtrusive. (Invite Victor for a glass of wine and he'll have just a small splash - you can pick his brain about things to do on Tobago!)

Our apartment was cleaned regularly and linens changed often. The entire property is spotless. We did not have a single crawly bug in 2 weeks which is quite remarkable for ground floor Caribbean!

The orchard is lovely and every morning we awoke to the chatter and song of many birds.

The apartment is a very comfortable home for travelers and is central to many great Tobago places. Within 20 minutes drive, we had many great beaches, restaurants and attractions. Very handy spot for getting to a wide variety of dive sites.

Highly recommended!

The first thing that impresses you about these apartments are the owners. Retired fire officer Victor Forde and his charming school teacher wife Ursline do their upmost to make your stay with them realxing and worry free. They live in one of the apartments and are always on hand if you need any assistance, advice or just want a chat, but are never intrusive.

Victor and Ursilne have two two bedroomed and one single bedroomed apartments for rent.We stayed in one of the two bedroom apartments which was amply large enough to sleep six.

All the apartments are spotlessly clean and equipped to the highest standard. Both bedrooms have aircon, the kitchen has all the appliances you require including a huge fridge freezer for all the beers and just in case you can't live without it, the lounge has cable tv with all the film and sports channels.

Outside you have your own verandah but a better option is to relax in Victor's beautifully kept 1/2 acre citrus orchard which is attached to the apartments. You can sit here and watch many species of birds darting in and out of the trees.

As with most places on Tobago outside Crown Point you will need a car, again Victor can help, he has a couple of cars availble for rent at very competitive rates and like his apartments the cars are clean and well maintained.

The only thing that stops these apartments from being perfect is that the nearest beach is 20 minutes walk away but this is reflected in the price. We paid $50 us per night for our apartment. If it had been near the beach I wouldn't be surprised to have to pay three times this amount.

If you are looking for an apartment close to any nightlife the Arnos Vale Apartments are probably not for you, but if you want a relaxing get away from it all holiday I don't believe that there will be many better options on Tobago than these apartments.

To summarise, these apartments are clean well equipped and represent excellent value for money and I would be more than happy to stay with Victor and Ursline again.
