Our stay at Auldwyn Lindsay Apartments was an absolute delight. With a very private feel, the apartments are within very easy reach of the beach, local food stores, restaurants and bars. Buses are available very regularly and cheaply if you want to go further afield. We prefer the privacy and quiet nature of the apartments and the gorgeous gardens. Relaxing and lovely. The apartment had all self catering facilities you could need, with a lovely large fridge for the very necessary beer. Any problems or queries were quickly and very patiently dealt with. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. We were in the studio apartment. We have always stayed there during our many visits to Tobago and always look forward to getting back there. The cost to stay here is very reasonable. If you are looking for privacy and lovely surroundings and you want to be in charge of your own time, this is ideal. The locals are always very friendly and everyone connected with the apartments is lovely. In conclusion, we were extremely satisfied with our time at the Auldwyn Lindsay Apartments. The accommodation is simple, but lovely and despite our many visits always exceeds our expectations, with everything you need for a wonderful time in Tobago. We will be back soon!

The location itself was good but the area was a little "local". The bedding was very uncomfortable but the apartemnt itself was nicely finished and comfortable. The air conditionaing in the bedrooms was a life saver!

Excellent apartment, excellent location and excellent value for money.

The rooms were very clean and the birds and flowers of the charming garden are fantastic. Black Rock is a great place to stay in Tobago. Stonehaven Beach and Turtle Beach are 5 minutes walk away (ask Maggie for the short-cut).

Recommended to anyone

Lars & Åshild Stokke from Norway visited in February 2011 and awarded  Five out of Five

We stayed in the 2 bedroom- apartment for 8 days after another guest house in Black rock had failed to provide accomodation (although we ordered 6 months ahead!). Being 4 adults and 2 small kids, we were very happy to discover that we could all fit in to a single apartment at Lindsay's :D

Our first thought was that we would miss the sea view and immediate access to beach, since the guest house is a 5 minute walk from Turtle Beach and Stone Haven Beach in the middle of Black Rock. How wrong we were!! Liz and Auldwyn immediately made us feel welcome (unlike most residents of Tobago..) and almost a part of their family. The rooms were very clean and welcoming and the birds and flowers of Liz's charming garden all added their efforts to make us feel really relaxed. Actually, we enjoyed escaping the thundering waves constantly harassing our poor ears the preceding 14 days when we stayed at an apartment directly on the beach front...

The most valuable assets of the guest house, apart from nice apartments and guarden, are the owners themselves! Liz and Aulwyn are by far the most welcoming and including Tobagians we ever met (well, Liz is actually a full- fledged English and Auldwyn almost too, I think :), and I would really like to plan my vacation when going back, to match their stay at the guesthouse.

We must also add that Black Rock is a great place to stay when travelling to Tobago. There are very few tourists here, and we really got to see the every- day life here. There are several small groceries and fruit- stalls in BR, and also a lady selling pastries and bread at a small yellow "shop". The fabulous Stonehaven Beach and Turtle Beach are flanking the seaside of the village with the Black Rock and Fort Bennett between them. The less accessible, but excellent Lava Beach is also close by and the Seahorse In is a magnificent restaurant. Within walking distance we also enjoyed pizzas at Pizza Boys, local cusine at The Fish Pot and Joannes (great home made take away at very affordable prices:)

Vanda Hospedales from Trinidad visited in April 2010 and awarded  Five out of Five

I stayed at the Auldwin Lindsy apartment for the Easter Vacation and it was devine. I also had the opportunity to meet Mr Auldwin and his wife Elizabeth and found them to be very pleasant and welcoming. They made you feel like home when you're away from home. We enjoyed the birds who came to feed on nearby. The seenery was soo welcomming and relaxing that you felt like you need not go anywhere and could just stay there and relax. Although I got sick before I arrived It was the best vacation ever, I was comforable and felt that I was in my little five star hotel resoprt.

Thank You guys my children and I enjoyed the stay and I hope to retun with my husband for the summer.
