Better late then never.

My wife a friend and I stayed at Judy's from Dec.23 until Jan. 14.

And let it be said it was the best christmas and new year ever.

Judy her family and the staff made us feel like family.

If we needed anything Judy provided it. She is well know and respected in Tobago. If and when you go to Tobago and you want a peaceful place to stay, Bijou des Caribe is the place.

We stayed in the big appartment facing Buccoo reef and the pool.

The appartment has 2 nice bedrooms a big livingroom, nice bathroom and a small kitchen.

It is not necessary to bring anything everything is there. If something is missing just ask and you'll get it.

Next time we want a peaceful stay we stay at Bijou des Caribe.

My family and I recently stayed at the guest house and I totally loved it. It is quiet and located close to every where and everything we needed. My son loved the place, it was clean and comfortable with friendly housekeepers. I will definitely and always stay there when i visit tobago. It was a pleasing experience.

The location of the place is good, however on a scale of 1-10, we would rate it a 4.

These are some of the reasons.

The apartment we stayed in was a bit claustrophobic. The cooking area is at the back of the room instead of the front, very impractical. I think the layout of the apartment could be revisited to ensure that guests totally enjoy their stay, even though it is not expensive. The a/c unit is old, noisy, badly positioned in the room, and does not oscillate.

The owner needs to go in the room and imagine that they have to stay for 6-7 days.

There was also a large smelly dog roaming the grounds, and the droppings were quite visible to us when we came out of the room.

Another essential thing that was missing was a covered area for the tenants to put wet beach things to dry.

Also, I think that house rules should be posted, it would greatly help the holiday-maker.

The website was misleading. Only one apartment has a view. and there are no waves to be heard.

My husband and I agree, we would not return.

Quiet, wonderful, friendly, serene, safe, clean, homely etc I can go on and on I recommend Bijou Des Caraibes to stay Judy is a kind and helpful lady. My first night in Tobago was at one of the well known hotels and I was so disappointed that I checked out and my cousin told me of Bijou Des Caraibes, Judy came for me I had no groceries the first thing she did was gave me a hot bread now from the bakery so I can have something to eat then she took me to the grocery and offered to take me to the beach. My stay there was just divine Judy, her sons and her staff made sure I was comfortable at all time.

Judy took me and my cousins karaoke we had a blast and the next day She and Pauline (a friend of hers) cooked crab and dumplin for us. I really could not ask for more from her.

I can write a book about Bijou Des Caraibes but the only way to know is for you who reading this to book with Judy and experience what Tobago is all about forget the big name and fancy hotels, Bijou Des Caraibes is simple clean and worth every penny.

Thank you Judy for all you did for me while I was in Tobago I will be back soon.

My husband and I stayed at this resort over the weekend (Friday 10th June 2011 – Monday 13th June 2011). The place was peaceful, serene, clean and beautifully kept as usual during our stay.

I have been staying at this resort for over ten (10) years and my family (sisters and parents) have developed a very good relationship with Mrs Gemmet. I would recommend her resort as a prime location in Tobago.

I do not hesitate to recommend this resort for guests wishing to stay in Tobago.
