We stayed here for approximately 5 days, we were greeted with a friendly smile from the caretaker who was always pleasant and willing to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The garden and pool is beautifully layed out, the rooms were clean, although the kitchen area was a bit small.
But all that matters was that it was comfortable and safe.
Made a friend in Evette who visted our room everyday to ensure that it was clean and to our satisfaction. Its not a 5 star apartment but we had a great time there. Would recommend to any family looking for somewhere that's economical.

My wife and I were looking for a self contained apartment in a quiet area with all ammenities of home and received exactly same at Bijou Des Caraibes.
Upon arrival (June 10th 2012) to Bijou Des Caraibes on our sister isle, we were greeted warmly by the owner Judy. The 6 days that followed were extra ordinary!
Never have my wife or I been to ANY lodging where our comfort, safety and general well being, were geniunely of high importance and concern. This feeling of appreciation by Judy, her sons, friends and staff will always be remembered and memories cherished.
The pool and the general ambience (set in lush vegetation)made the time spent around the compound scenic and enjoyable. Demographically, this beautiful property is well poised providing a beautiful view and ease of access.
Thank you Judy,Yuri,Yves,Eazel and Max (friendly guard dog hahaha)for making our stay in Tobago a wonderful experience :):)
I would highly recommend Bijou Des Caraibes to couples, families and trill seekers.

I recommend this place to anyone wishing to have a great vacation, pool has no opening or closing hr,judy is very pleasant and helpful. i am a bit scared of dogs as that was my only problem but i managed to get around that.the place is like 10 mins away from the port and there is a close by facilities such as penny savers,a casino, bar etc that we made use of.

Stayed in the 2 bdrm & 1 of the studios. Only the 2 bdrm had a view (ground floor)to the front/pool. The studio was at the back. The rooms at the center upstairs in the photos that you see on Facebook are really where the owners live.
The yard & pool are quite nice - no pool hours. The dog is big and old, rather cute and hardly seen. The apartments are small, not-modern and basic but manageable with a go-with-the-flow attitude. They could use a meticulous cleaning but are not filthy or so. I took some Clorox wipes to the surfaces & scrubbed some pans. The studio is tiny & honestly @ $350 a night you can get nicer studios. The 2 bdrm @ $600 a night is a good price but the 2nd brdm in the 2 bdrm is tiny.
Little things that require a roll-with-it attitude: bedroom/bathroom doors don't lock. Cable come and goes (may not be the owners fault). No AC in the living room. Kitchen small. Nowhere to hang wet clothes.Hot water takes a while sometimes. One key for the 4 of us to share.
However Judy is indeed a pleasant & willing person. Makes herself very accessible.
