Stayed in The Flamboyant Suite for 1 week. It is a lot nicer and more spacious than the pictures on the website show. The pool is lovely & clean & The appartment is decorated really nicely, with lots of extra touches to the place. One example there was a bird book & binoculars which was really helpful to spot the amazing birds on the balcony and nearby trees.

Only thing that stopped me giving a 5 was the cleaner didnt turn up as often as she should have. Apparantly you are supposed to arrange the days you want her to come on the first day, but we werent told this on arrival. Great location though and really peaceful beach. Definitely would stay there again.

I stayed at the Flamboyant suite, Black Rock Dreams apartments for one week with my son, his girlfriend and my daughter. We were there to attend a wedding of friends, one of whom was from Tobago and had recommended the accommodation to us. It was an amazing location, right on the beach, high standard of fittings and furniture. Bathrooms, we had three, very clean and high tech. Loads of room and lots of thoughtful extras around, like candles, sun cream games and books. Felt very safe and had no problems with security. Island was amazing and not too hot. Hope to return and would stay in same apartment, excellent.

Never having been to Tobago, let alone Flamboyant, our research was all online. MyTobago was an invaluable tool, but we found other sources online as well. Until one actually experiences, though, it is still uncomfortable stepping into the unknown. We couldn't have been more satisfied after staying in Tobago and especially Flamboyant Suite. My Tobago's description and the Flamboyant Suite website can be totally relied upon, but our experience was even more than we expected. The condo has a perfect location. RIGHT on the beach, and a beautiful beach it is, gently sloping smooth sand into the ocean, not at all rocky. Flamboyant is delightfully appointed, the views are "to-die-for." Sunsets right out the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, comfortable beds with the sound of the surf, individually temperature-controlled bedrooms, clean, wonderfully maintained grounds. Built it '07, it is in great shape, and the delightful combination of the modern in the midst of the old ways (goats grazing on the hillside, fishermen pulling their seines full of fish onto the beach, all in view while sipping morning coffee on the sizable patio) was just what we were hoping for. Underground garage, modern security (although I'm not sure the emphasis on security is worth all the attention it gets--we felt perfectly safe wherever we went), and helpful, attentive staff.

Speaking of staff, Gillian Connelly is a treasure. She was such a pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. We were a family of four, but all adults, and the accommodations were ideal. Two couples, or a larger family would find Flamboyant easy to live with and quite affordable. I could go on, but there isn't a negative comment to come up with.

Well worth the visit.

Very family/ or couples' getaway, oriented

Very well appointed villa

Excellent location on beachfront

All facilities within reach ( I advise that you have a vehicle)to move around Tobago

We wish that we could have stayed for a much longer time.

Very reasonable rate as compared to more well known /touted hotels/guest houses etc.

There are no negative issues/drawbacks, other than ,like us, you will not want to leave.

Book early !!

Darryl.

My husband and I just returned from a week-long stay at the Flamboyant suite at Black Rock Dreams.

This was our secong visit to Tobago. we stayed at Hibiscus Heights, owned by Gillian Connelly, last year.

Due to availability issues, Gillian suggested this suite. it was everything anyone could dream of and more.

Gillian was with us all the way. i had so many questions. She took care of everything wonderfully. When it comes to dealing with someone who is reliable, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, you cannot beat Gillian.

The suite was large with breathtaking views of the sea and the sunset. There were all sorts of amenities. What I really liked was the 'take and leave', as I call it, concept. There were small things others left for futrue visitors to use which come in handy. At the same time, i left some things which might come in handy to future guests.

The suite was clean and secure. There is no need to fear for safety with the gated parking and alarm system.

There is so much to do on this island. we visited several beaches, waterfalls, and went diving with scuba adventures on Grafton Beach. this outfit cannot be beat! Talk with Johnny or Mikey. They are great!!

I cannot say enough about this visit. We will at sometime be back.

Thank you for everything, Gillian Connelly!!
