Hidden cottage is within 2 minutes walk of the beach and centre of Castara but seems like a secluded peaceful haven. We stayed for a week with two young children and it was perfect; very spacious, well equipped with a balcony perfect for hammock swinging with an amazing range of visiting birds. Mot Mot apartment has a very small pool which the kids loved. We would strongly recommend it to anyone wanting a great holiday experience

Hidden Cottage is the perfect name for this gem in a beautiful treed area of Castara. If you want privacy and love to watch all the different kinds of birds...then stay at Hidden Cottage. We have been staying here for the last 3 years and just love everything that the cottage has to offer. The cottage is very clean and has everything that you would have at home. Great kitchen that includes a full size fridge, oven, microwave and all the dishes, glasses, utensils that you need. It even has a blender for those wonderful tropical drinks!! Everyone involved in taking care of the cottage are very helpful, Rhonette takes care of the inside, changes the sheets and cleans the cottage throughout your stay. Kyle takes care of the outside gardens and the pool is always clean clean clean. We liked it so much there that this past trip we decided to get married on the beach in Castara and had a wonderful after party at the cottage. The Douglas family went above and beyond helping us plan it prior to our arrival and everything went smoothly, we couldn't have done it any better. If your looking for a clean, beautiful setting this is the place to stay and it's just a short 5 min walk to the beach and stores for all your grocery needs. Thank you once again Douglas family for making our vacation enjoyable and one we will always remember. We are looking forward to next years vacation already...see you in 2013!

I enjoyed my stay at hidden cottage very much.It felt like I was home. It would be nice if they a safety/security box. ANything I needed was provided by the caretakers and they were more than helpful. I would love to stay there again.

Hidden Cottage was as its name suggests in a quiet secluded area in Castara. The residents were quite friendly! Ask about the waterfall that's only about 15 minutes walk away. Definitely need a car to move around though.
We stayed in the Hummingbird apartment, and it was quite lovely for a couple. One should note that the fridge is one of those tiny units with one door (small freezer included) so make sure you don't walk with too much food requiring a freezer! Also there was no microwave upstairs in the Hummingbird Apt. Luckily for us, when we stayed there, no-one occupied the Mot Mot apt, so we were able to ask Rhonette to borrow that one. She readily obliged. Another thing to note is that the apt gets boiling hot during the day, so the a/c unit is an absolute must! Other than that, our stay was wonderful

Myself and my family spent a week in Castara and it is such a beautiful natural, unspoiled location; I hope nobody in their wisdom wants to 'improve' things. We had an amazing time. We stayed in Hidden Cottage which was airy and spacious and beautifully presented. The plunge pool was a real bonus especially for the 6yr old in our group. The hill climbs are worth the effort not only to experience the incredible views but to work off the food, the Carib and the rum punch!! Definitely felt sad leaving and would love to return and see some more of the island tho' I was quite happy to just relax and enjoy the Carribean experience.
