We stayed as a couple at Indigo for a week starting 20/3/03. The room was ensiute and although not large was most comfortable and benefited from a small veranda which overlooked the bay near Pleasant Prospect.
This a family run hotel which benefits from a well run small restaurant where the joint owner Fiacra is the chef.He cooks some lovely dishes with local fresh seafish each night and the starters were excellent.Breakfast is also very good! The atmosphere in the evenings is very casual with a bar which is vistied by a lot of frequent visitors to the Island and local residents. The owners have a great relationship with local musicians who play Drums, pans, guitars etc for a couple of hours most evenings of the week. They are handpicked and very good.
The hotel does not have swimming pool but it is only a short walk/car ride from a lovely long beach with excellent swimming. There is Jacuzzi located privately on an upper floor for use after a hot day on the beach. The advantage of staying at Indigo is that you get to feel whats going on in the Island very quickly and they have friends who they can recommend on Diving and Snorkelling who are all genuine.
We had a very happy time there and if you want to get away from the "Hotel Factories"and meet a few different people this is a good alternative which is value for money. The hotel is well placed between the lovely beaches on the leeward side of the Island and the action at Buccoo and Crown point if you want it.
