We stayed in apt 7 for the entire carnival week. The first thing we noticed was the dust on the floor that turned my son's feet black....clearly it was not swept. One of the pots was dirty but the son was more than helpful & changed it. Our fridge door could not close so inside the fridge was very warm but again the son and father were helpful & gave us a fridge from the next room. The kitchen cupboards smelled mouldy & i found it disturbing that the toilet vent leads to the kitchen (gross). The pool deck had termites and the tv is quite small. The bath/toilet was quite small as well. After I cleaned and lysol everywhere I was comfortable.
On the positive side if the room was checked before we arrived and these maintenance and cleanliness issues resolved I would've been satisfied enough but at a lower price. There's a washer and dryer available and a communal broom & mop (i think each apartment should at least have a broom). The pool was quite clean and i saw the owner cleaning it out during the week and it was chlorinated. The owner arranged a ride for us to the airport at no extra cost which was nice. I think they try to make improvements because some of the negative feedback from the past years have been addressed.

I Stayed at Merle's house for two nights, I did in fact enjoy my stayed the only problem, i had is the poor internet service, but apart from that every thing was like a home away from home, next year on my vacation I will surly be going back.

We made arrangements to be pick up but when we got there the owner was rude when we called and said we were waiting to be picked up. He said he knew nothing about it. Which was totally insane to me because when we were nearly there i called him. But that wasn't the worse of it after we had to take a taxi with no knowledge of where we were going, when we got there they gave us our room the first thing i could see was a rusty old stove. that should have been thrown out years ago. The furniture was old and run down.
THE PLACE WAS NOTHING LIKE WHAT THE ADVERTISED. Upon entering the bathroom the first thing i could see was a dead cockroach covered in ants. It was obvious that the room hadn't been cleaned. We got there like about 10'O'clock so we had no choice but to stay the night but we were out of there first thing in the morning. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE IT WAS HORRIBLY.

Our time at Merle's House was great as usual.There is no word to explain it but to feel/see it for yourself.Its a great place to tone down and relax,I love it,my family loves the ambience.The apartments are clean and very inviting,the environment is very safe and freindly.
