We would have paid the cost of this accommodation for the view alone. The apartments are in a stunning location overlooking Charlotteville and I can't imagine many places better than the Ocean View Apartments to take in this beautiful village as the sun is setting.
We stayed in the Seagull room (I think it was called Seagull, it was the one on the bottom floor) and the room's facilities were great. The whole room was clean and tidy and tastefully decorated. The kitchen appeared well equipped and, although we never really cooked anything major, I'm sure you could comfortably self-cater without a problem.
The owner Mr Dillon, who has clearly been living in the village for a number of years, was very friendly and forthcoming with advice and information about the area.
Overall I would highly recommend staying here. In fact if we ever decide to go back to Charlotteville we wouldn't consider anywhere else.

I searched really hard to find something in a "real" village, not too touristy. charlotteville on Tobago Island fit our taste and needs perfectly. I wanted a self catering apartment, with ocean view, and something simple, not too fancy, but clean and functional, at a good value. "Ocean view apartments" fit all of my criteria.
If you want something fancy you can stay at Spey side, but it is more windy and choppy over there.
In Charlotteville the water is calmer and has pretty good swimming. We bought fresh fish twice and cooked it. and the rest of the time we went out to eat. snorkeling at pirate's bay was nice, so was swimming.
You would need a car to drive to Charlotteville. The apartment is up on a hill, but not too strenuous. we walked down into town daily and left our car at home.not far, very doable. We drove only for distances and bird watching trips.
Make sure you fill up your car with all the groceries you need before you drive to this village.
The person I rented from, I never saw. his father greeted us and gave us a key. he was cordial. the man I worked with via internet, wanted the deposit via western union. I was a little weary of sending cash, but decided to take a chance on it, It worked out, but communication trailed off quickly as soon as i sent the money, and I must admit I was hesitant weather we would really have an apartment when we got there. but it was just fine, and we liked our stay. the father brought us a fan and a light. that was nice.
They have a website but I don't think they pay this site for direct communication.
there were several others I had checked out on this website as second and third choice, and they would have worked out.
top river was very good at communicating, and the we talked to several people who were staying there and they liked it. the only complain they had was lack of house keeping. but we didn't stay there. the other one I had considered was Acaju, and i am glad i didn't stay there, it was out of the way and would not have met my needs.
I enjoyed using this website, very informative. thank you.

We stayed in No.3, top left in their website photograph. It's a lovely apartment; bright, roomy, very well equipped and in excellent decorative order. Great shower and fantastic views over the town from the narrow balcony shared with the adjacent apartment; a superb place from which to watch floodlit cricket in the evening with a cold beer! Great value and we thought it better than Top River Pearl which you pass on the way up. A few steps up to the house but well worth it!
Highly recommended.

Mr. Dillon runs this place and was the towns headmaster for many years, and is a very kind man (everyone around town knows him). The rooms are very clean, somewhat plain, but everything you'll need. We had a large kitchen and made use of it often. The views are absolutely amazing, I spent a lot of time just drinking a Stag on the front porch. The house is just above town, about a 5 minute walk. When I go back, I'm staying here again...enough said! I recommend this place for those people looking for a nice affordable clean room.

This is a great place to stay - clean, fully supplied kitchen, great views from the little balcony and the owners are really friendly.
The only downside is that it's up a hill and a little walk from the nice part of the main beach - but that is a small price to pay. It's away from the main part of the town so feels more spacious and less people than in the middle of town - not that Charlotesville is at all busy or noisy! In fact it is a great alternative if you want to get away from the touristy Crown Point area.
Highly recommend this - and you can save yourself quite a lot of money by cooking for yourself if you want to. However, I would advise to go shopping before you get to Charlottesville if you want to save money - its a good bit cheaper and lots more choice if you stock up at one of the supermarkets near the airport.
Also - make sure you have enough cash to last your stay in Charlottesville as the ATM is v. temperamental and often runs out of money and then you have to get yourself back to Crown Point...
