We enjoyed our time in Charlotteville at Rosa's place despite it being somewhat run down and seriously in need of a basic upgrade such as appliances etc The location is what made it bearable and ok as it was a the closest on the trail to Pirate's Bay which we feel was just wonderful and the best on the island-undeveloped & keep it that way!-relatively easy access (about a15-20 minute walk-with lots of steep stairs). Rosa's was also a short walk into main part of the town itself which was pretty and friendly but getting enough supplies for cooking was a bit of an issue as the the grocery stores seemed really poorly stocked. Other eating places were very average except for Sharon & Pheb's was was consistently the best place to eat out at reasonable cost too.

I expected at least a sofa and small TV or radio. There was no microwave. I was disappointed that we could not see the sea directly from the rooms or when sitting in the porch. after all if you advertise on the beach then you expect a view of the beach. Yard needed cleaning. old shed also blocking the view of the sea. Other facilities were good. glad for the hot water.

Rosaīs House is the place to be if you will stay at lovely Charlotteville for some days! Itīs situated at the path to pirateīs bay (approx. 5 minutes walk), one of the most beautiful beaches of Tobago. The two flats at Rosaīs House are simpel, but clean and functional. The view from the porch is great, and after a short walk of two minutes you are "downtown" Charlotteville. The owner, Mr. Neptune, is a relaxed guy, who is helpfully.
The only thing to critize is, that the contact via e-mail failed; itīs easier to call Mr. Neptune and make your inquiry by phone.

We stayed at Rosa's House for 7 nights in March 2010 and we really enjoyed it. The Position could not be better, very close to the beach and all we heard was the sound of the waves. The owner Gifford Neptune said that Rosa's House would be "the safest place on earth" and we felt like that.
If we will plan another vacation in T&T we surely would choose again Rosa's House!

We stayed at Rosa's house for 12 nights and we truely enjoyed our stay. If we return we plan to stay there again if it's available. We loved being able to just walk out our door and jump into the water to snorkle. We also enjoyed our walks to the top of the hill to the bench where we sat and admired the view. Gifford, the owner was very accomidating, there were a couple supplies that we needed that were not in the house and when we requested them he made them available immediatley. Housekeeping came about every three days to change sheets and towels. It was a very basic accomadation but that was just what we wanted and we felt that it was an exellent value for the price becuase of the location. We did spend some time cleaning counters and dishes when we arrived but we didn't mind. We also had some unexpected visits from ants(they found the mints in my purse) but we came prepared with bug spary and so they didn't create a problem for us.
