Tobago Diving: Dive Sites
The definitive guide to dive sites around the coast of Tobago
This page lists the 54 established dive sites around Tobago. The list starts at Columbus Point and extends around the coastline, in a clockwise direction, to Pedro Point off King’s Bay. There are no recreational dive sites along the mid-Atlantic coast between these two points. The list has been divided into the standard regions used throughout myTobago.
Dive sites are often referred to by several names. Some times these are simply alternative names adopted by individual dive operators. Sometimes the name refers to a different drop zone or route across one of the main reefs. Alternative names are provided in the detailed dive site listing, where known to us.
Readers unfamiliar with Tobago may be puzzled by the absence of Tobago’s most famous reef from the list of dive sites. However, Buccoo Reef is a very shallow reef and best viewed by snorkelling. The Coral Gardens to the south-western end of Buccoo Reef are used by some operators for training dives or children’s courses, but even then only rarely.
Click on the 'Details' button for detailed information about the dive sites in each region. Dive depths are shown in metres.
