Tobago Paradise Travel & Grill

Post by Pupuce »

Hi all,

Apparently there's a new place opened on Pigeon Point Road, next to the Waterholics, called the above mentioned in the title. Has anyone been there? Reviews, please?

Hi Pupuce
As I´ll arrive to Tobago on Friday, if Andy hasn´t got an answer, I´ll take a walk down during the weekend and have a look around. It might been an old place which has been sold and changed name.

I found the "Waterholics", which is the jet ski rental place next to R&Sea Divers, but there is no food place.
There is a small food outlet in the building of former Manta Dive center, but that is not a restaurant, just a
little kitchen selling local lunches "to go".

Yes Paul, that is what we are still missing in Tobago, after we got KFC and SUBWAY drive-ins, to name only
a few

Hi guys,

Thanks Andy! :) Waterholics is a water sports shop: jet ski, water ski, banana boat... and they also do your normal excursions in Tobago (island tours, sunset cruises, coast line tours etc.). The guys are really nice and friendly, smiling! =D>

I understood that Tobago Pardise Grill & Travel was right next to their shop, in some of the small fisherman's huts there? strange...Maybe it is tha small place that you mentioned...Did they sell lobster?

Hi Pupuce,
Do you recommend Waterholics for water-based entertainment and island excursions, or would you recommend other operators instead?
Thanks,
Nigel

Pupuce,

i found the place at last.
It is a small shop in the building before former Manta Dive Centre, just after Conrado Hotel.
There is no sign or anything marking the place. The business was closed because the owner is
out of the country but is expected to come back tomorrow.
A fisherman next door sells lobsters. I am not sure if the grill place actually serves lobster.
I will check out the situation again within the next few days.

Andy, great, thanks for the info! :) i'll check for myself in 2 weeks, yay \:D/ !

Nidge, we discovered the whole waterholics gang later during our stay when we had already booked the excursions that we wanted to do but we did go jet-sking with them! And now that I know some of the guys I can recommend them! :) They are on facebook: Tobago Waterholics https://www.facebook.com/pages/Tobago-Waterholics

For fishing trips and coastal tours ask for Tyrone!!! This guy is golden!!! He is part of the gang but works as a freelancer...And then there's Daryl, another golden-hearted guy, who has his own business but he hangs out with the guys of Waterholics. https://www.facebook.com/darylstours.tobagowi

Hi all,

Tobago Paradise Travel & Grill is a tiny restaurant in one of the fishermen's huts right after Conrado's. As I had thought a guy called Allan and his girlfriend Lynette own it. There's a small deck of two tables behind it where you can watch the sunset.

Allan's lobster and grilled fish are to die for!!! The prices are cheap (last night, for example, we had grilled fish for two, garlic bread, 3 beers and a water = 130 $TT). For a deluxe lobster you pay 350 $TT. The sides cost 5 -20 $TT.

What we do now is stop at Allan's & Lynette's on our way from the beach, have some beers while watching the sunset, have either Allan's delicious lobster or the spicy grilled fish and then head to the villa for a dip in the pool and a quiet, relaxing evening.... :)
