Restaurants we visited

Post by Steve Roughley »

Cafe Iguana - basic, not much atmosphere, no live music on night we visited, good food and friendly service, very reasonable prices.
Coco Cafe - owned by Coco Reef but not within the resort, good standard of decor, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, very good food, friendly service, limited menu if used regularly, reasonable prices.
Pelican Reef - live music, good atmosphere, friendly service, very good food, varied international menu, always busy, reasonable prices.
Dillons - dont judge this establishment by outside appearance or atmosphere !, good food and service, reasonable prices.
Melange - lovely setting, wonderful food, but let down a little bit by service on the night we visited, but they had fitted us in without having made a reservation, expensive.
MeShells - again a lovely setting, had made a reservation this time but maybe need'nt have done as it was'nt too busy on night we visited, wonderful food, quick and friendly service, very reasonable prices.
Shirvan Watermill - wonderful atmospheric setting, excellent food with excellent attentive service, fortunately we had made a reservation as it was busy, very expensive, but a wonderful dining experience for that extra special treat. We dined here on our last night in Tobago, and as it turned out we certainly saved the best till last.
Tamaras, ( Coco Reef ) - good atmosphere, you can hear the live music being played from below on the terrace. Very good food with service to match, believe it is for residents only with a reservation, which can only be made on the day- after breakfast !, expensive.
Baccanhals, ( Coco Reef ) - Only ate here at lunchtimes, buffet style with waitress service to, good food, a little for a lunchtime.
Best of Thymes, ( Crown Point Hotel ) - nice setting next to swimming pool with outlook over Store Bay, good friendly service, good food, we only tried the lunchtime menu, open to non residents, reasonabl prices.
