Restaurants

Post by Nicky Durrant »

Hi

Weve been in Tobago for about 6 days now and have noticed that slowly but surely many of the restaurants are closing and not reopening. Is this because its out of season? We were really looking forward to a visit to Patinos and La Tartaruga but both are shut! Anyone shed some light please?

Thanks!

Nicky :D

Some restaurants use to take a break as it is in the low season/rain season. They should be back in the end Nov or beginning of Dec. The same thing often happen during the period of May-June.

Hi Patrick

Sadly, we seldom get the information. Very few restaurants notify us. In truth, its very seldom that you find more than one or two closed at the same time, so don't worry about it.

Hi Patrick,

we had the same thing 3 years ago. It was quite disappointing, know how you are feeling. We are going back to Tobago on 2nd October, again outside the season and by the sound of it, again have to search for restaurants that are opened. I remember Salsa Kitchen and Mot Mot being open, both very good restaurants.

Good luck!
