We stayed at a lovely place called Salsa Cottage, which is attached to a wonderful and quirky Restaurant called The Salsa Kitchen (which is just outside Scarborough). They serve amazing food there, which manages to perfectly combine the best of caribean and spanish cuisine. Their spicy lamb was a treat, as well as their home made garlic bread and salads. The Cottage itself was clean and roomy with great views.

I would definitely recommend staying or eating there. :D

P.Blake, Many thanks, at last, a personal recommendation! I do appreciate there is a raft of information on the site. But this is exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for. So many thanks, I will hot foot it there and report back when I return. This of course may suit my accomodation needs as well! Steve :P
