having someone cook for you

Post by Joe Walker »

HI
I'm staying in a villa called Palmhaven in a couple of months time - by all accounts in the reveiws it sounds fantastic and notably, it seems the house keeper (Joyce, if I recall correctly) is a superb cook and will for a modest sum, prepare superb local dishes. What it doesn't say anywhere is roughly what that cost is. Can anyone advise? Do we get the ingredients? It would be useful to know....it's my wife's birthday on the first full day we're there and not yet being familiar with where everything is and what's good (restaurant-wise) it may be quite nice to have that option!

We are staying in a four bedroom villa in May (low season) and the cook is available for US$20 per meal. Sounds like good value as you don't get much for £10 when eating out.
I don't know if it's any relevance to the cost of the cook, but our villa is US$750 per day.
Hope this helps.
