Best Roti: Rena's Roti Scarborough

Post by PeterV »

You just can't visit Tobago without having roti and "bus up shut"

One of the best, and most friendly, roti places on the island that we found during our visit is Rena's Roti Shop on Milford Road (tucked into a little shopping center) in Scarborough.

It's mostly a take-away place, but there are perhaps ten tables inside (and a TV playing CNN) allowing you to eat in.

They use a "pay first" system. You order at the cash register -- if they're busy, they'll give you a number and call your number when your food is ready. At lunch, the place gets VERY busy... but even then the wait is only a few minutes.

The quality of the food is awesome... and if you're not fond of bones, you can order "boneless chicken bus up shut" at a slight premium cost (this guarantees you FEWER bones, not none). They make their own roti "skins" right in the shop... you can watch them!

Highly recommended!!
