I have just heard that Caio Cafe and the Pizza place next door has CLOSED - I will confirm this when I take a look for myself in the next day or two. :?

Hi Andy

Yes, I can confirm that. Nobody quite knows what is going on. I was waiting until I got some solid news before making any sort of announcement, although I did remove them from the Restaurant listings about two weeks ago. I will post more if/when I hear anything.

Referring to several questions in recent times, i can report that Ciao Pizza is open for business.
I passed the place earlier tonight, didn't stop though, because it was after my dinner time, but
i will give it a visit within the next days.

Update:

I had a fabulous pizza "Capricciosa" at Ciao's tonight, which was a pleasant surprise compared to the
rather mediocre quality, which i had experienced a year ago, before the place was closed for a longer period.
Mirko has re-opened the place about 6 weeks ago, hired a new original italian pizza chef (who obviously understands his trade) and is back in operation.
The pizza is now, quality-wise, a serious competition to La Cantina in Crown Point.
Mirko also stated that he will open an additional (air-conditioned) dining area upstairs for approximately 20 persons.
