Post by Andy K »

- La Cantina

The business is still florishing. Reservations are no longer possible, so better be early (7:30 pm) or join a line later

- Green Lime

no longer in operation as a bar / restaurant.

- Ciao Pizza

closed until further notice.

- Salsa Kitchen

closed for holidays for the month of August :(

- El Pescador

best King Fish Caviche in town =D>

Hi Andy

Thanks for the update.

Ciao Cafe was closed during a brief holiday, but Mirko D'Alessio assures me that they are open 9am-10:30pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays; 10am-5pm on Tuesdays; 9am-12pm on Fridays and Saturdays and from 5pm-11pm on Sundays.

Steve,

yes, i found Ciao Cafe open, Ciao Pizza (next door) looked very much closed though, with several bars blocking doors
and windows. We'll see what happens ...

Silly me - eyes and fingers working quicker than my brain (an increasingly common occurence). Will check and hopefully be able to post an update soon.

I have no explanation of why Ciao Pizza was closed and apparently there never was a sign on the door when it closed (????), but Mirko informs me "the pizzeria was supposed to open early August but because of european holiday some shipment are not arrived on time...so the re-opening will be at the end of September(day more day less!)".

In other words, in may or may not be opening soon, I guess! :?

Well that makes some sense to me now. I will check the place from time to time. Thanks Steve.

Hello there, Salsa Kitchen has reopened as of last week, 14th September, 2010. Great night, none of the customers new we had even been away! but still VERY slow! the return to Tobago has really shown the economic downturn, our BA flight was literally empty. So no need to be sad anymore, we're back, looking forward to serving everyone once again. Cheers, Iain and Paula :D
