Hi Peter
There are snook, snapper and some baby tarpon in the lakes around the golf course at Magdelena resort (ex Hilton)
You should be able to fish for them with fly gear early mornings and evenings when the golfers are not hitting balls around.
I have also heard of bonefish, tarpon and snapper being caught on lures from Petit trou lagoon which is next to the resort and access is through the grounds and 0.75km from the hotel entrance. I think it is signed as you approach the main hotel carpark, so directions should be easy.
Friendship and canoe bay also hold small numbers of bonefish on a rising tide (fish from low tide to half tide) and we have caught small tarpon (to 7kg) and jacks, barracuda and snapper on flies too.
All of this fishing is without a guide so no expense except the entry fee to canoe bay resort if you wish to fish there.
Hope this helps
Steve

Dear Friends,
many thanks for all the information that I've got the forum here. we have recovered back from Tobago and it was wonderful. The fishing was great. bonefish, tarpon - which I was allowed to begin. kester was an excellent guide. If we stay healthy, is a visit next year, nothing in the way. tobego, not only to fish a paradise.

Kester saw the fish, I saw her until the second day

. The hands were aching from the drill, but the joy was all the greater
