Foreign Exchange UK

Postby LisaJ » Tue Jan 25, 2011 5:45 pm

Hello,

Has anyone in the UK used ICE to buy their T&T dollars? They come up no.1 in MoneySupermarket and are offering 9.55 to the £ whereas most of the others including Travelex are about 9.15. Hadn't used ICE before so wondered if anyone here had?

Thanks

Lisa

hi Lisa

i stick with the high streets don`t really like putting money on the net like that. marks and spencer has the best rate, but thomson matched theres when i said theres was better. to be honest how much can a couple points make unless you are spending thousands

good luck Gary

Thanks Gary.

I do normally buy all my currency online with Travelex - its then delivered to my door by courier - just as I hadn't used this 'ICE' before was a little hesitant.

Will see if anyone on the High Street might match though.

Thanks again

Lisa

You will definitely get a better deal at your local bank in UK as they don't charge commission, you will be able to pay any left over bills back into your account with no charge. This morning LLoydstsb were giving TT$10.05/GBP.

Thanks everyone. I used ICE in the end and got a rate of 9.70 to the £ which I was pleased enough with. They sent it in a nice range of notes too rather than sending me all $100 's which has happened with other agencies!
