Northern Trinidad experienced a lot of rain since Friday night... and it is not over yet. Weather almost like in October or so. I hope this will subside very soon.
Arrived yesterday and woke this morning to clear blue skies, very warm. Looking down into Arnos Vale Bay and the seas beyond there is a fair swell with plenty of white horses. Only here for a week but will update on weather as we go.
Trinidad, literally everywhere in Trinidad, had significant rainfall for the morning and into the early afternoon. It is gradually clearing up. Hoping for better conditions tomorrow
The main area of rain is just to the west and north of T&T and it is a continuous plume of moisture coming off the mainland and pushing over the Leewards and out into the Atlantic.
I think there is more to come over the next 2 days but good news appears to coming from the east with the expansion of the Atlantic High and a strong surge of drier trades carrying alot of Saharan Dust that should tuck south under the rainband and stifle the moisture.
I reckon that process will begin by Tuesday and the weather looks more positive from mid-week onwards.
Be patient

Almost a week of rain is, as predicted, coming to an end.
There is still some remnant rainfall around but the fresh trades are not far away. These should kick in on Wednesday and provide reasonable weather until at least early next week.
The official wet season starts on 1st June when the 2013 Hurricane posts will be launched ... enjoy the weather while you can
