Recommendation: Shore Things

Postby Cornelia Montgomery » Sat Mar 05, 2005 2:03 am

We had two lunches here last month, and they were delightful. Fresh juices, fresh pizza dough, fresh crepes, good drinks, etc. It's a very small place, painted in brilliant colors. Bananaquits flutter around for the brown sugar in the feeders. Nice selection of souvenirs. Great view, too. We saw the largest lizard that we'd ever seen climbing a tree -- it was a beautiful emerald green. And the coconut cream pie and ice cream -- wow.
This is a place you might miss if you don't have an auto.[/i]

I second this recommendation. Unfortunately we only discovered the place a few hours before we had to fly home. :(

Cafe and arty craft shop. Milford Road, Lambeau -- that's the coastal road. http://mytobago.info/restaurants06b.php

We visited Shore Things twice during our stay in Tobago (30th April-14th May 05) and can highly recommend it,the meals are simple but plentiful (deserts to die for!) ,the surroundings beautiful and the staff very friendly, the shop has some lovely items of art and craft too.Transport needed though as it's in Lambeau on the Milford Road which is a little out of the way,off the main Claude noel highway.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I second all of the above posts

Shore Things is one of those places that deserves to succeed and thrive.
A wonderful, friendly, charming, airy atmosphere and excellent service and food from Giselle.

There are descrete signposts, but if you take the Lambeau turning off of the Claude Noel highway, down to the Old Milford Rd, then follow the signs past the Inn on the Bay, Cat and Fiddle boozer and then up the hill past the holiday appartments, it's on the right - just before the Government family centre.

There's seating for around 20 - so get there early if you're in a large group. There's always the arts and craft to look over if you have to wait. Opening hours from around 11.00 - 19.00

Cheers
