Hi. A friend and I are planning on holidaying in Tobago towards the end of this year with our families. We are all 30-something adults with children ranging in ages between 2 and 5. We are able to get rates at both the Rex Turtle Beach and the Grafton Beach for pretty much the same price. What we would like to know is which of these two hotels are recommended by those of you who have stayed at either/both of these establishments...or if anyone has suggestions for alternatives to either of these, we would love to hear them.

Many thanks,
Ian

Grafton Beach vs. Rex Turtle Beach

Hi there, I haven't stayed in either hotel but have visited both and their beaches. Friends stayed at the Grafton and enjoyed it. Turtle beach is an older more basic hotel but with a nicer beach, while the Grafton is slightly closer to the airport, restaurants and bars at Black Rock village, Buccoo reef etc. The Grafton underwent refurbishment last year. Check out a really good recent review here by Debs, on 3rd March titled "Just Home" for a review of the Rex. Someone else will review the Grafton, or use the search facility in this forum. Have fun,
