Tired of the beach? Looking for something a little bit different? Well, Tobago has two excellent horse riding stables. Whether a total beginner or an advanced rider, you are guaranteed to enjoy the experience of trekking through the old plantations, down quiet country lanes or even cantering down a sandy beach.
Friendship Stables are located in the middle of a 400-acre estate bordering the Atlantic Sea. Their location means that they can offer shorter rides. They currently have just 14 horses. You are guaranteed a very personal experience riding out with them. They us UK-style tack.
One of the original Tobago stables, Looking Out Stables, have suspended operations for the moment.
Being With Horses is a new operation, based in Buccoo, that opened during 2008. Owners Lennon and Veronika currently have four horses.
