I chose Bamboo Walk for my stay in Tobago for the Easter Weekend 2010, mainly due to avaialbility, however, based on the service, comfort and serenity of the place, I plan to make the Bamboo Walk my regular hotel in all future trips to Tobago.

All the negative reports that were posted on the reviews were unfounded as I experienced no noisy staff, and all areas were clean and well maintained and the friendly and very helpful staff were ever present to assist.

My wife , an avid reader, was impressed with the selection of books available to hotel guests.

On Friday night, Karaoke was not at all disturbing as my 5 yr old son and 2 yr old daughter slept soundly throughout.

The Family atmosphere and welcoming pool was a hit with with my children as well.

On Sunday night I ordered dinner at the restaurant and since it was before dinner time, I went to the pool with my son with the intention of picking it up on our way back to the room, however, when dinner was ready , Sam delivered it to our room!!

I was very pleased with my stay at the Bamboo walk ..at the much larger hotels and so called Luxury resorts, you dont get that closeness and personalized service.

I would definitely recommend The Bamboo Walk to anyone visiting Tobago.

I found Bamboo Walk Hotel on the internet while searching for hotels to stay at. I was satisfied with all the info provided and decided it was my choice of stay.

I must say, that from the moment i arrived, till the moment i left, Bamboo Walk Hotel surpassed all of my expectations. I welcomed the scenic settings in which they constructed the hotel with greenery and bamboo everywhere. The place was like a botanic hideaway, with a pool and a restaurant just outside the rooms (the restaurant was made up to look like a hut). As a previous report said, the place looked just like the picture on the internet. The only thing missing was a small fridge.

The place was great, the food was great, the service was great and the staff was warm & friendly. I would definitely be visiting this hotel again. Thanks again Bamboo Walk Hotel for an enjoyable stay!!

Quiet and quaint, that's Bamboo walk. The restaurant is great for breakfast and drinks but not for island food. The tours are great but finding transportation to and from the hotel is a little tedious.

Service is great and the hotel is clean and neat. We were a party of six with four rooms and we were very comfortable.

I would stay here again when i return to Tobago.

Just returned from the Easter weekend spending 4 nights at the hotel. I think most other hotels in Tobago can learn from bamboo walks staff, very friendly and eager to help. The food was good and the room clean and well kept. In a previous report there was mention of staff having their quarters behind some rooms, those are rooms 8 and 9, we stayed in one of those but the staff were never loud and the rooms are rather sound proof so we only noticed them in the morning when we opened the door to go for breakfast. The garden was a bit brown with some leaves due to the current drought but thankfully the hotel had no water shortage unlike Trinidad. Nevertheless it was still pleasant to look at with still flowering hibiscus in front our room.

The mall is a decent 15-20min walk away but thankfully there is a traffic light to cross the highway in front of it. The beach at coconut bay is a 10 min slow walk down the road and was a welcome getaway, despite the holiday weekend it was mostly empty and there were no hagglers unlike store bay. There was no grocery in walking distance but there was what Trinidadians would call a "parlor" with enough odd snacks and regular items one would need.

I should mention the Yes tourism tours, while the guides knowledge of the island seemed mostly text book he made an excellent bird watching guide, I plan on returning with a longer lens and taking more tours, just driving around the island on your own you will still miss alot.
