Just returned from the Easter weekend spending 4 nights at the hotel. I think most other hotels in Tobago can learn from bamboo walks staff, very friendly and eager to help. The food was good and the room clean and well kept. In a previous report there was mention of staff having their quarters behind some rooms, those are rooms 8 and 9, we stayed in one of those but the staff were never loud and the rooms are rather sound proof so we only noticed them in the morning when we opened the door to go for breakfast. The garden was a bit brown with some leaves due to the current drought but thankfully the hotel had no water shortage unlike Trinidad. Nevertheless it was still pleasant to look at with still flowering hibiscus in front our room.
The mall is a decent 15-20min walk away but thankfully there is a traffic light to cross the highway in front of it. The beach at coconut bay is a 10 min slow walk down the road and was a welcome getaway, despite the holiday weekend it was mostly empty and there were no hagglers unlike store bay. There was no grocery in walking distance but there was what Trinidadians would call a "parlor" with enough odd snacks and regular items one would need.
I should mention the Yes tourism tours, while the guides knowledge of the island seemed mostly text book he made an excellent bird watching guide, I plan on returning with a longer lens and taking more tours, just driving around the island on your own you will still miss alot.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Bamboo Walk hotel for 5 days and it was a exactly like the site said it was and more. It was our first vacation together and I have to say we were surprisingly impressed!
The room and bathroom was very clean and cleaned everyday day while we were gone. We were invited to a Friday night Barbecue and karaoke. The food was delicious and the singing was entertaining. I personally enjoyed swimming in their pool that was kept clean. My boyfriend on the other hand was just happy their was a good connection of Wifi internet. The location was absolutely perfect, we were very close to a lot of great tasting foods and beaches.
I would suggest this hotel to anyone looking to have a fun and affordable vacation.
Thank You Bamboo Walk Hotel, for a trip we will never forget!
Stacy and Reggie.

We've traveled with my colleague. All information we found from internet & booking of rooms, car we did the same way.
We hired 2 standard rooms, unfortunately, due to approaching festival suits were occupied, but later we found that there is no big difference. Rooms are really clean & comfortable to spend night. Location of the hotel is 10 minutes away of the Atlantic ocean beach - very convenient if you do not have car & like jogging. By the way, many locals are used to spend time on this beach, but still it is not crowdy there. Preferably to rent car in advance & to have it on stand by on your arrival to Tobago airport. On departure you can dropped it there - in that case you are totally independent & you'll have chance to explore island.
Stuff in the hotel is very friendly, actually like all people on the island.
It was really good to escape from busy life to that small paradise!

A truly oasis of a place. Rooms are a good size, as are the ensuite. They are cleaned regularly, and bed linen changed frequently, which is great when in the tropics. Staff extremely friendly & helpful. Restaurant on site is good with some very innovative menu´s. We stayed here for 4 weeks (Feb.March)it is central, although we did have a car, but whatever we required in the way of assistance was readily give. So to all at The Bamboo..Mucho gracias for a wonderful holiday.
