Conrado Beach Resort

We have just come back from one weeks vacation at the Conrado Beach Resort, 31 clean & tidy air-conditioned rooms, ours had a sea view throught double patio doors. The food was excellent, eaten on the patio overlooking the sandy beach to the beautifull blue caribbean sea, a varied mix of Intenational and Tobagoian, the prices very fair and nothing was to much trouble for the manager (Maria the "Oricale"). We Scuba Dived & Snorkelled with World of Watersports which has three bases, ours was at Pigeon point where we also Windsurfed. We had a excellent time and will go back very soon. Maria told us that they have over the past few months been decorating and upgrading all the resort, it shows, it is fresh, clean, a true pleaseure, Go, you will not be disappointed, you have my world on it.
Conrado Beach Resort
We were due to stay at this hotel during the first week of November 2004. We were notified by our tour operator that work was taking place to the roof. It was decided that we would stay at another hotel on the island instead.
Whilst in Tobago we visited the hotel and could not see any work taking place on the roof and the hotel seemed to be closed.
Am I Imagining It?
Hello all, a few years ago I visited Tobago and I can recall an hotel right on the beach as I walked towards Pigeon Point. It seemed to have breakfast rooms opening onto the beach. Could anyone possibly tell me it's name and contact details, as I can't seem to find it on the net (probably not looking hard enough!). Please take pity on a first time poster!
My daughter (23 yrs old) and myself have just returned fromTobago and stayed at the Conrado. it's a very difficult place to rate. A good little divey place. How about "they sweep every day, but the bristles never reach into the corners". The rooms over the ocean are the only sensible choice for most people, I'm sure, the decks are large and the sunsets are awesome.
Great staff and owners, just not ambitious to add stars. So, it's a very appropriate budget motel in a perfect location. Caveat emptor.....if you want a resort, go elsewhere and pay for it. Feel free to ask specific questions, Joe (wish I were still there, sigh)
