We have stayed at this resort 4 times in the last 3 years. Once it was for two weeks at a time. For us this is the perfect beach-front resort to relax and get away. The resort location is excellent. It's close to the airport, restaurants, activities, other resorts, and limited shopping.

The accomodations are very clean and comfortable however not elaborate or elegant. There is some deferred maintenance here and there, however it in no way interferred with our vacation enjoyment. This is a small, family-orientated resort.

Resort security is present and observable at all times. The resort grounds are very nice. There is one standard deep pool and 3 different types of hot tubs. The small restaurant offers limited simple, fresh, local dishes. The resort store is well stocked and prices are reasonable. The resort sponsored activities are excellent and fairly priced. There is a children's playground. There is an exercise facility, but not airconditioned, which we found notable as high temperatures in this room prohibited us from using it. The beachfront bar is well-run, comfortable and affordable. The beach area is small, non-swimmable, but excellent for adults to relax, read, sleep, take in the awesome sunsets or enjoy the bar or swimming pool which are steps away.

In our experiences we found management and staff very welcoming and accommodating. They are one of the main reasons we like to return here at every opportunity. It is difficult to wait until we are able to make another return visit.

The property is very nice and the units quite well equipt. There were two disappointments; the management discourages swimming at the on site beach because of underwater rocks/debry, but it is a pretty place to relax and read, a shuttle to local public beaches is available.

The second disappointment is the restaurant. We had dinner there the first night and were treated to warmed over food (not all that warm) served indifferently in a marginally clean facility. It was the worst meal of the week but cost far more than much better local restaurants (Coco's or Crown Point Hotel). We found not a single international guest who was satisfied with the quality nor any T&T guest who would tolerate the price. The local street food is better. Hopefully it will burn down.

Pleasant day!

I usually visit my sister isle of Tobago about every three to four months per year, excluding the busy months of July/August though. Usually my family and I try different places each time we visit; sometimes re-visiting previous places because we were satisfied and changing sometimes just to experience the "new."

My first stay at SPBC was during the period Oct/Nov 2008 and I was beyond pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms the hospitality of the staff and the general ambiance. I must give special thanks to Tessa at front desk whom apart from being professional, was absolutely a people person.

My only concern really and it's more of an opinion is, when I visit it's with a LARGE group of persons. So I have a fair idea of how the rooms that accommodate 6-8 persons look. Now that I'm married and my entourage has now reduced in number to a mere three I'm a bit hesitant as to what the smaller rooms have to offer.

I visited your site, but the picture of the B Type - Efficiency Studio - 4 Persons simply reflects a picture of a sitting area with a bunk bed and pull-out. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong place :(

I called your POS office for further info. Hoping at least they'd be able to walk me through the layout of the options. I spoke to a "Shenise" and she said that I would have the option of two choices that could hold 4 persons:

1) the Efficiency Studio, and

2) the Garden Studio.

She suggested I spoke to someone from Tobago who would give me a better idea as to the rooms etc. Laura from house keeping was excellent.

When I called back to confirm everything the dates etc... Reservations in Trinidad told me that the options they gave me before is no longer available... This was in a conversation less than 10 minutes ago.

They were polite, courteous and professional... so I'm not complaining about that :)

When I asked if the options, (as stated above), were not available because of the dates I chose, they said no... since I was willing to change my dates.

My concern really is - I have a two year old son who is quite active and I have certain preferences, room wise. I am aware it's a vacation and also that the SPBC has HIGH standards, but I'd really like to see some proper pictures of the rooms before committing. Like Mr. Martyr said in one of his replies..."know what you're committing too."

I asked if I could go ahead and make the booking etc and when I reach to your location if you can offer me the courtesy of viewing the two options (if available) before choosing, but you guys declined that request.

Like I said, maybe there are pictures available that I haven't seen, if that's the case, can you re-direct me.

In closing I must reiterate that the SPBC has thus far made my stay in Tobago an enjoyable one, and I look forward to continuing my stay with them.

My wife and I just got back from the SPBC on saturday mornig. In general the resort was as discribed. Room quality, grounds, etc. were fine. Location on the island is great- close to a great many things but with enough privacy to be enjoyable. For the most part the staff was friendly and effecient.

However the restaurant was very lack-luster and the bar/club house was terrible.needs MUCH work, both n decor and staff to make it even marginaly acceptable.

Other than that the holiday was fine.

Just returned yesterday afternoon and we had accomodations at Sandy Point Beach Club for a week. We felt safe there as security were walking grounds. We also had a safe in the room so did not have to deal with carrying cash and passports with us at all times.

We had a 1 bedroom that was ocean and pool view. There were 2 bunkbeds off of the kitchen. The staff were super nice and took care of our needs. Of course it is not the same as the Morritt's Tortuga Club in Grand Cayman that we traded, but it certainly met our needs. It was clean, and we had everything we needed in kitchenware, and housekeeping kept us in towels, soap, etc as needed on a daily basis.

We took 2 trips that were arranged through the resort and can not complain one bit. (Have to do Island Girl trip...you will not regret) There was also something at night which allowed the opportunity to meet with the other guests. Rum punch was the best.

We did not hear the airplanes from our room but could if we were sitting on our patio. Not a problem though.

Beautiful grounds that had lots of happy, beautiful singing birds.

Rented a car so we could see the island which we do not regret at all. Sheppy's was great to us.

I would recommend staying here.
