Toucan Inn - Reader Reports & Opinion

What A Find!   22 Dec 2003

We stayed at the toucan inn for a week in October, and were bowled over at what a fantastic little place it was. I can't fault it at all. The previous week we'd stayed at le grand courlan for a week of pampering at the spa but didn't want the entire holiday to be all-inclusive, so we headed off to Crown Point.

The food is superb; the manager and his staff are some of the friendliest people we met on the island (and that's saying something), we were met for breakfast every morning with beaming smiles which lasted all day; and despite being so near the airport you could almost imagine you were in the middle of nowhere, (or the rainforest, what with all the plants everywhere) The rooms are kept meticulously clean, and while simply furnished, still has everything you need. They also afford quite a lot of privacy with no-one overlooking you.

MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!!!

Toucan Inn Report   14 Nov 2003

I cannot speak too highly of the Toucan Inn. I stayed there with my husband and six-year old daughter in October this year - the facilities excellent - cool, spacious Cabannas though very simply equipped and the staff could not have been more helpful and cheerful. The food was wonderful and evening entertainment was provided on some nights around the pool ranging from steel pan to Caribbean dancers. As for diving, I had my first scuba dive in Tobago prompted by one of the reps from the 'Manta Dive club', Richie who calls at the Toucan every Friday to allow guests to try out the scuba equipment in the pool - the Manta Dive organise transport from the Toucan to their dive base at Pigeon point where they offer a Padi diving course which involves a seesion of theory and training followed by a dive around the Reef.

Toucan Inn Website   13 Aug 2003

For anyone interested, the Toucan Inn website is up and running again. I've been checking regularly as it seems to have been down for quite a while. Anyway, lo and behold, there it was this morning. It's sister website (Inn on the Bay) is there too.

Off there in 7 weeks, staying at le grand courlan for the first week, then the Toucan Inn. If anyone's heading to these places in the next few weeks, give us a shout!!!

Hello, can you tell me if Toucan Inn will be suitable for a singe girl going to Tobago in November? I like the fact that it is a small hotel so hopefullY i'll be able to make a few friends while I am there. Another thing is,how easy is it to get around from Toucan Inn? I know they are not on thebeach but is it easy to get to Pigeon Point and Store Bay finally, what is the cost of meals etc. at Bonkers?
