Cotton Bay & King Peter's Bay
Backed by the village of Runnemede, beautiful Cotton Bay (the larger bay on the right) is a popular beach-barbeque spot with sailing charter operators.
This beach can only be reached by boat, or by a long hike. King Peter's Bay, on the left, is accessible by road from Runnemede, but the 3-mile trail
is very narrow, the sides eroding rapidly and dangerously and there are no turning points. Visitors should NOT attempt the trail.
This photograph was taken at high tide. Beaches will appear very much narrower than normal, or may even have disappeared.
