Castara Retreats
Castara Retreats can clearly be seen in the very centre of this aerial photograph, with the green roof of the main house (Rainforest, Osprey
and Pelican)
on the left, and the silver-grey roof of Fisherman's Lodge on the right. The fabulous viewing deck, which has been covered since
this photo was taken,
can just be made out, just below Fisherman's. The path from the road can be seen and, on the extreme right of
the photo, the new
driveway that will eventually provide direct access for vehicles. Note the wonderful flame-orange Immortelle
(Erythrina poepigiana ) trees that blossom during the early months of the year.
