Guest Room

Annexed to the owner’s apartment on the third floor is a simple, but comfortable, guest room with adjacent private bathroom. This guest room has two single beds and is offered on Bed & Breakfast terms.

Guests using this accommodation have full use of the main living room and balcony in Shirley and Neil’s apartment and naturally have full use of the swimming pool.

The Guest Room provides ideal accommodation for the single traveller or a couple.

Facilities

One of Hummingbird Heights strongest features is the 34ftx14ft swimming pool that dominates the front of the building. The pool is surrounded by terraced gardens with an abundance of plants, flowers and bird feeders.

A covered portico runs the length of the pool and provides areas of shade throughout the day. Although the pool is shared by guests staying in both the apartment and the guest room, there is an adequate supply of sun loungers and is not overlooked by adjacent properties. A large fridge and barbeque are available at the poolside – ideal for al fresco dining.

Conclusion

Owners Neil and Shirley Rogers take it in turn to visit Hummingbird Heights from the UK to look after guests. It is their personal attention and hospitality that undoubtedly provides one of the strongest features and benefits offered by accommodation at this property.

During our four week stay on the island, we must have bumped into Shirley – who was in residence at that time – no less than four times. On each occasion she was accompanying guests to restaurants or on sightseeing trips. I hesitate to use the word “service” because the ethos of Hummingbird Heights is far more like staying with friends than a simple commercial transaction. Those who wish to make their own way around are obviously welcome to do so. However, this level of personal attention makes this a wonderful accommodation solution for single girls or ladies wishing to visit Tobago.

This property offers modest but comfortable accommodation. The apartment is ideally suited to a small family group or two couples. As mentioned, the guest room would be a wonderful choice for a single person. We would happily return to Hummingbird Heights and would not hesitate to spend a full vacation there.

When one considers the current accommodation rates at Hummingbird Heights, it must be one of the best bargains on the island.
