Avocado Cottage - Reader Reports & Opinion

Avocado Cottage is a little out of the way, but it is worth the drive (or jaunt across the golf course) to the beach. The view from the balcony is lovely with green and blue in front of you: a sea view framed with lovely palm trees. The owner is a sweet and accomodating person and we were treated like personal guests; a wonderful treat after a long journey to Tobago. This is a basic wooden cottage but is comfortable and worth the price. You feel at home here. Personally, I would not stay here without access to a car, a dedicated taxi or a golf cart of your own.

The Avocado cottage was the perfect place to stay for the first nights in Tobago. The place has such a nice view, is very relaxed, and is a short walk from Buccoo and its beautiful beach. Tony, the host, is an extremely friendly and helpful guy, who doesn't mind dropping you off to the Sunday school or Crown Point.
We spent a really amazing time there having nice dinners and drinks at the balcony overviewing the gulf of Buccoo. Oh, and the birds who come to welcome you - amaaaazing! I'm so glad that we started our trip discovering Trinidad and Tobago from there.
