I am very pleased with my Stay at the Hibiscus Villa. It was my first time to Tobago and it was soooo good i want to go every month now. I must thank Mrs. Connley for her flexability to all my needs when it came to pricing, accomodations, safety and especially for the flexable check-in and check-out times. Not to mention Miss Liz excellent breakfast and Mr. Small willingness to attend to our needs. I truely enjoyed myself alot and will return sooner than i thought.

We found this place by the kindness shown to us by Claire at Tobago Now Tourism Services. We had initially rented another, privately owned property which turned out to be far below our expectations... but thankfully Claire helped us find Villa Hibiscus after we called her for help. She was such a Godsend!

Villa Hibiscus is a four-bedroomed villa that sits on a seawall overlooking the beach at the bottom of New Black Rock Road. The villa is lovely... well appointed and very well maintained. The pool and patio area is just lovely, the 2nd floor gazebo is round-shaped, and is lovely for sitting in to watch the sunsets over the ocean each evening. The interior is comfortably furnished with a large, well equipped kitchen, dining room and living room; and each large bedroom is air conditioned and has its own ensuite bathroom.

The daily maid service provided to us by LIz was great too! Liz even went so far as to escort us to the best roti stall and fresh produce markets in the area!

We were there in August and the temperature and humidity in this rainy season was quite high... so for us, the villa would have been perfect had the common areas been air conditioned too; but in the dry season, the ocean breezes might suffice. Liz did indicate that the villa was to have these areas air conditioned in the future, which will make it perfect.

The only thing that was a problem that in the adjacent villa where the property manager was staying, were three pit bulls, and these dogs woke us up every morning around 5:30 am with their barking. We were assured that they are not supposed to be housed there, but I would suggest that any renter who wants to sleep in late, should confirm this before renting the property.

Other than that one flaw, we found the property beautiful and clean and in an area that was convenient to shopping and any other amenities.

Nice But....   18 Apr 2006

Hello

Stayed there for 2 weeks last year. A great hous with a great view.It also had a fantastic staff.

When i visited Tobago for 3 weeks ago i talked with some locals that told me that the old staff had been fired and that the person taking care of the place had problems with the owner because of the way he runned the place.

This is without a doubt a nice villa but it is far to expensive. 650 dollar a night for boguanvilla???

Last year it was450 dollar.

Regards
