Location was great. Security of the house was great, though locking so many locks is definitely something Americans are not used to doing. Our family group of 8 - grandparents, married children and 2 young children - had all the privacy we needed, thanks to room air conditioners which meant when we closed our bedroom door, we felt in our own retreat. The outdoor dining area was perfect -- looking out on the hills while eating our meals in this very spacious area with long dining table that easily accommodated all of us. Nice to have a washer/dryer (dryer needs some repair). Pool is small, as indicated on the website, but perfect for children's playing and relaxing/diipping anytime one feels like it. Some updating is needed, and the realty rep is on top of that -- he was most responsive to the couple of issues we had during our stay. Being there in holiday season meant the regular cook was not available. Brian Abraham found Bev, who ended up being wonderful, and so very reasonable. Since food shopping is not so easy, having ample meals delivered a couple of times during our stay let us eat very well, with plenty of leftovers. There were no staples in the kitchen (i.e. sugar, salt, oil) -- ask ahead of time whether these will be there. And -- we only found instant coffee in the supermarket, so bring your own coffee to use in the villa's coffeepot, if that's what you need to get you going in the mornings. Brian Abraham was a pleasure to work with -- would definitely work with him again. We had rented cars, so don't know about walking to the nearby beach. We headed to Pigeon Point Beach -- just beautiful though realize that the food stalls run out of food pretty early; we also took the very long ride through the hills and towns to Englishman's Bay -- stronger current there, but beautiful beach and a hidden quiet pool of water at the far end of the beach that absolutely enchanted our granddaughters. We stopped at Marguarite's on the drive up -- can't recommend this restaurant highly enough! Loretta

My family and I spent three relaxing days at Cravenji Villa in June. All information posted on the site was very accurate. There were additional pluses such as a washer and dryer available as well as two extra washrooms- one by the pool area and one in the hall area. Check in/out time was also flexible. Especially appreciated that one.
The villa was very clean and tidy when we arrived. The kitchen was well furnished...there were even two water filters for our use, even though we brought our own. There was enough utensils for everyone as well. The hall was a bit cramped but the extremely large veranda made up for it. The bedrooms were also spacious enough and airconditioned with hot and cold water in all the bathrooms. In fact, there was hot and cold water available throughout the villa. This was appreciated, especially when doing the dishes.
The villa was also well secured so we felt safe at all times. There is a large well kept garden at the back of the villa which is a bit on the steep side, however, that didn't stop us from venturing down there for some excellent Julie mangoes. The tree incidentally had a family of Cocricos living there!
The only change i would make to the villa would probably be a larger TV in the living room.
We definitely enjoyed our stay there and would not hesitate to recommend it for an unforgettable vacation.

Cravenji was nice, very airy and open mid porch. Great view from the top floor porch. Tobago was in the midst of a drought when we stayed but you can expect typically lush surroundings. Very peaceful location. Mangoes from the tree make a great chow. Facilities were satisfactory from the bedrooms to the kitchen.
One problem we had were the showers on the north side facing the street. Imagine full length clear glass windows in the showers. Crazy!
An extra set of keys would have been nice. Eight people tend to split up sometimes.

A group of us, 4 couples, visited Cravenji this past summer for a long weekend in August.
We had a blast. Not only were we guaranteed privacy and exclusivity at the villa, we were also surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna. The environment is peaceful and conducive to a get away that has been beyond compare. Security lighting and strategic burglar proofing of the main balcony provided us with a feeling of security so we were worry free.
The independence of having a fully furnished and stylish home at our disposal was also pleasing and we were able to return home feeling well rested and like we got the quality stay we paid for.

My husband and I spent two months at Cravenji during January 2007 to March 2007 and the Overview and Detailed Description already posted on the site are very accurate. In addition, the lower pool deck also has another shower and WC plus a utility room housing laundry facilities and a drying area.
All the spacious rooms are light and airy and fully equipped to a very nice standard and there is plenty of storeage room for luggage etc.
The private gated villa has full security on all windows and doors which also extends to the full length of the covered middle terrace at ground level. On this very large terrace are comfortable chairs, sofas and side tables at one end and a large dining table seating 10 at the other end. This terrace is the most perfect place to sit and watch the many birds that visit and has spectacular views over the Caribbean although it is set back on a ridge from the actual coastline. There are also efficient ceiling fans on this terrace along with the cooling breezes and NO MOSQUITOS during our stay. The sunsets are pretty amazing too. Having said this I hope that the views have not been obscured by new buildings since 2007!!
A split staircase leads down to the comfortably appointed walled and secluded pool area (the pool being regularly maintained) and terrace which can get pretty hot. The third uncovered top floor terrace affords even more spectacular views.
The six days a week maid/housekeeping service was excellent
and provided by a bubbly and cheerful local lady for which nothing was ever too much trouble and she was a great source of local information.
There is a telephone permitting free local calls but, at the time of our stay, no Internet facilities were available. Two local telephone numbers were given to us in case of any problems but there were absolutely non.
All en-suite bedrooms have air conditioning plus ceiling fans but the lounge and kitchen/dining room just have ceiling fans which wasn't a problem for us. Plenty of hot water was available at all times and the pressure to the showers was efficient. Lots of books to read in all rooms and a good supply of power points.
In all a peaceful and delightful place to stay and very conveniently situated for exploring the island and grocery shopping. There are a few small local restaurants within walking distance as is the coast but I would personally recommend a car (plenty of secure parking) unless you are pretty fit and like walking in the heat! Golfers are not forgotten either with a course nearby.
The good sized rear garden has typical Tobagan fruit trees and plants but is quite steep whilst to the front of the property is a fairly long, shady driveway (most welcome!)with plants hanging down the bank and an outside tap should you feel energetic enough to clean the car!
