Thank you Bea and Win for the amazing hosts you were and a wonderful stay and experience in Tobago.
Essex Cottage couldn't be situated in a better place, the surroundings are beautiful, it's almost part of the green area around it. A very quiet place only to be "disturbed" by the lovely sounds of thousands of beautiful colourful birds that come to greet you and beg some crumbs.
The cottage has everything you need for self catering and you find in the near local shops all the basics you need.
Very comfortable with nice clean sheets to sleep in, were you really find rest and get rid of all the stress and tiredness you're trying to rid off!
Plenty of bath and beach towels provided and washed throughout your stay, just bring them down to Bea and you'll get them back before the day ends.
The infinity pool is gives you the VIP treatment you deserve and the views from there are breathtaking
Hoping to return again some day, because I can't erase those paradise memories off my head!

Staying at this place was an absoluete pleasure. The service, veiw, atmosphere and everything else that goes with it. I would definitely visit there again sometime in the future. Thanks for the support of "My Tobago" and to the lovely couple at the Gloucester place. I am satisfied, and throughly had an amazing experience.

Staying at Gloucester Place is like visiting the home of very good friends whose house just happens to have a spectacular view of the Caribbean, a refreshing swimming pool, and a garden populated by tropical birds. Your charming and attentive hosts, Bea and Win Sargent, start you off each morning with a terrific breakfast, assist you with everything from car rentals to laundry to restaurant reservations, lend you books, and generally go out of their way to help you navigate and enjoy Tobago. Both are fountains of friendly information and advice about where to go and what to do. Both seem to know and like everyone in and around Parlatuvier and Castara (and vice versa). Having lived in such diverse places as Iran, Sri Lanka, Venezuela and North Carolina, they are well prepared by temperament and experience to embrace visitors from all over the world. Indeed, sharing breakfast and conversation with fellow guests from England and Canada was an unanticipated highlight of our stay. We have stayed in a lot of b&b's in a lot of places, but none better than this. We look forward to coming back.

We recently had the great pleasure to stay with Win and Bea at Gloucester Place, and we can certainly recommend this lovely oasis to anyone considering a stay in the Parlatuvier area. Win and Bea, apart from running a very efficient, clean and pleasant home from home, are both passionate and knowledgeable about Tobago and about this stunningly beautiful corner of the island. Thanks to both of you for a very memorable stay. We fully intend to return next year, and we look forward to seeing you then.

We stayed at Gloucester Place for a week and so much enjoyed every day! Bea & Win are both so charming hosts, that from the very first minute you could enjoy Tobago.
We got served a great variety of food for breakfast, every morning a different surprise. Have it in the kitchen, or take your coffee to a relaxing chair, watch (and listen :-) ) the colourful birds have their own breakfast. Amazing!
The room has all you need, with a balcony that gives you a lovely view onto the surrounding and the sea. Although we didnt stay there long, as the porch was a much nicer place to spend time, with the hosts or other guests.
You could have more meals than breakfast, but the hosts would have plenty of recommendations and organize for you where to eat out. Not only restaurants or bars, but locals that cook for you any fresh meal. Loved it at Joanne's. Saturday evening, go to Castara for the BBQ with live steel drum music at The Coffee Shop.
Staying at Parlatuvier, you should have a rental car. Bea had sent us a perfect route description before, so you can get there with an hour drive from the airport. Beware the cows you could meet anywhere ON the street. As the village is small, do trips all around the lovely island, to see the rain forest, shower under huge waterfalls, or enjoy other beaches around (Englishman's Bay) or mainly at the south of Tobago. Unfortunately we missed the glass bottom boat and snorcheling tour northeast to Little Tobago island.
Bea & Win are really interested in that you have a great time. When we would return from a day trip, they welcome us with a warmhearted smile. Take a cold Carib and watch the sunset, or jump into the infinity pool before the day closes. Just enjoy - Gloucester place is perfect to do so.
Thank you so much, Bea & Win!
