I am only to pleased to report on our stay at Mangobird villa. We Had a great time there. The is made up to cater for all members of the family. We were gran parents elderly aunt, young married and baby.If you want a lovely house, gardens AND a great pool this is the place for you.You are in a area which is safe and well attened. Also there is every thing that makes a holiday great on your doorstep.Yes you can get away without renting a car.Making the booking with the owner,s was a pleasure and easy.Staff on hand in Tobago 1st rate. The young lady who was there to look after us and clean house.(I hate the word maid)was nice and plesent. We also meet the gardener who was happy in his work and did not intrude in any way.I have kept all contact details fo the house for the next time we need a house on Tobago. We all thank Stephen Cathy the owners, and staff in Tobago for a lovely holiday. Yours Linda England

The villa was booked for my brothers and sister who were coming in from the USA for my daughter's wedding. I viewed the villa and found it to be more than I expected. All rooms with TV and lots of cupboard space. The pool and jacuzzi were enjoyed by all.

However the housekeeper was barely there. She met us when we arrived and left soon after, and the other days she just showed for an hour or so. The day they were leaving at approximately 12.00 and she did not show, they had to leave the keys in the house and be on their way.

However I would give the villa a high rating.

The holiday was great and the kids loved it. The house attendant was fantastic, very helpful and friendly. My only disappointment was that there was no meet and greet service on arrival because we were considered as locals. I was told up front about this, but personally found it to be unfair. As there was no price difference noted I was aware of.

My recommendations for upcoming guests and the villa owners are:

1. It's a great vacation home away from home where everything is available to you, loved it.

2. Install a gas BBQ pit instead of a coal/lava rock type, it would be more convenient.

We went back to stay at this lovely house for the 3rd time and as always it was fantastic. ~We stayed with some friends and ate lots of fish. The locals are extremely friendly and the house has everything that we need. We love the swimming pool. It is very child friendly and the bedrooms are very comfortable. It is so relaxing there with the pool, gardens and the atmosphere is just lovely. Pigeon Point is a very short distance away and is in my opinion the best beach. You cannot get better facilities anywhere. We like to eat at Jemma's kitchen which is a lovely tree-top restaurant situated on the beach at Speyside serving fresh fish and other lovely food all day. The location is really beautiful with Little Tobago and Goat Island just across the water. We just love to go there and cannot wait to go back and after a lovely tour of the island it is so good to go home to such a lovely house with such a welcoming atmosphere. We really hope to be going again this year.

I have just returned from a 3 week stay at Mangobird villa. It was our 4th consecutive visit. There are 4 of us in the party and each time we go back we want to stay longer. I was excited about staying for 3 weeks this year but having arrived back on Friday I want to stay longer!! I could live there!! Before we went we heard of the horrid murder that had taken place in Tobago we were shocked and saddened by it and every effort was made by Stephen to reasssure us that safety and our peace of mind was paramount in everyone's mind. We were even offered security at the house for the duration of our stay. I was very impressed with this offer but turned it down. I want to shout out loud and clear to anyone who is thinking of going to stay at Mangobird or anywhere in Tobago that the people are so very friendly and lovely and cannot do enough to make us welcome. They are totally embarrassed by the horrid incident and we felt absolutely and completely safe and relaxed during our stay. As always this villa is like our second home. We just love it. It has everything that is needed for a relaxing holiday and has the most homely and friendly atmosphere. I hate leaving it. After our lovely days out in paradise it is so lovely to come home to a friendly house where we wanted for nothing. We spent most evenings with the bar-be-que and the wonderful catch of the day i.e. flying fish, lobster, king fish, red snapper - I cannot spell the other one!! It has been heavenly. WE have made friends with Errol Roach (Roachee)he can arrange any trips anywhere, anytime. He and his family came for tea one evening. The people that we have met have taken us into their hearts and homes and I would recommend anyone who is thinking of going to Tobago to stay at this lovely lovely home. (Not when I am due to go though!)Thank you to Stephen, Cathy, Vickie and her husband (I am sorry I do not know his name) for providing a lovely home from home. Can't wait to go back.
