We come to Petite Careme on an annual basis & it is always the perfect backdrop to a perfect holiday. Charmaine looks after us in the most courteous &competent way & we would'nt stay anywhere else. Thank you to all that make it that way.

Our sixth holiday in Tobago and the fourth consecutive time at Petit Careme. A perfect villa in a perfect setting; beautiful and airy, tranquil, safe, stunning bird life and close to the wonderful beaches of Mt Irvine and bounding the golf course. Charmaine continues to be the greatest of housekeepers and keeps the place immaculate. Merilee and Rawle, thanks for making the stay so good.

The 15 days stay at the apartment at Petit Careme were
very enjoyable. The apartment was kept spotless by Charmaine
who also was very helpful and charming. The location and
setting are near perfect, the surroundings verdant, the
birds abundant.
The main swimming pool unfortunately needs a little
maintenance due to the problems caused by the tree roots.
We were very fortunate not only meeting Charmaine but also
the owners which added to the enjoyment of our first and hopefully, not last, stay at Petit Careme.

Petit Careme Villa is delightfully secluded and quiet, and yet not isolated and there is a great sense of security. It is a marvellous place to stay if you are interested in birdwatching - early morning in particular sees a vast array of unusual birds who come to feed happily on the feeders, some of which come back in the evenings.
The villa is spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped in all areas. Air conditioning works efficiently and unintrusively if you care to use it, though the villa is pleasantly cool anyway. We had a couple of lovely evenings on the verandah dining with food cooked on the barbecue. There are several restaurants nearby, and also beaches, villages, shops, Buccoo Reef, and Buccoo itself, where you can buy the catch of the day from 4pm onwards.
In the villa there is a helpful guide brochure compiled by the owners to unusual places that you might not necessarily find, such as the Arnos Vale hotel with its magical gardens and birds, and the Looking Out riding stables. It was also very helpful for finding the best food shops in the vicinity.
All in all it is a lovely place to stay - with the swimming pool in the grounds and the comfort of the villa it is sometimes hard to wrench yourself away, but go exploring you must, because Tobago is a beautiful island.

My husband and I visited Tobago for a few days in December 2008 and stayed at the Petit Careme Apartment. We were greeted by Charmaine the Villa's housekeeper, who was very welcoming and friendly. The apartment was very spacious and nicely decorated with all the amenities.
We loved sitting in the porch area to have our breakfast as we were always guaranteed to see a variety of tropical birds in the beautifully maintained gardens. It was such a peaceful environment. We spent most of the day out, but it was great to get back to a spotless apartment, thanks to Charmaine. We seldom used the pool but when we did we had it all to ourselves, we couldn't ask for more.
We would definitely recommend Petit Careme, it was truly value for money and look forward to returning in the future.
