Petit Careme Villa - Reader Reports & Opinion

We booked the Petit Careme Villa for a "Fun Day", school outing, experience. There were 40 students and 5 teachers, all of whom gave raving reviews right throughout the day. The area is extremely beautiful, spacious, clean and relaxing. The villa is also gated and this allows alot of privacy and security. The students and teachers enjoyed themselves immensely. They are still talking about the great time they had.
The housekeeper Charmaine was also excellent, willing to help and hospitable. She also made our experience a fantastic one.
A hearty thank you is extended to you Mr. and Mrs. Barrow from the Form 5 class at Bishops High School. We give 2 thumbs up and we definitely will be visiting again :)

Petit Careme Villa/Apt Mount Irvine is like my second home. For Trinis living outside of Trinidad and Tobago it is a breath of fresh air (home air). Wish we had villas like this one in Trinidad. I would recomment Petit Careme Villa as the #1 family spot in Tobago.. My #1...

This was my family's third stay at Petit Careme and once again it was really relaxing and serene. The Villa and apartment offer great accommodation. The grounds are also a green paradise. There were a few issues but once we spoke to Charmaine and Wayne, they were resolved asap. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at Petit Careme.

Our stay at Petit Careme was wonderful and relaxing. At the villa, we spent hours on the lovely veranda enjoying the comfortable Adirondack chairs and hammock, and we loved the little splash pool, too. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and the compound had very good security. Perhaps best of all, the sweet housekeeper made our stay especially memorable by preparing us a wonderful home-cooked Tobagonian meal! Really the only drawback to the villa is no view of the ocean. But otherwise just a great place to stay with great owners.

Our 6th stay in Tobago over the last 10 years, all of them spent in different villas. We selected this one largely on the back of good reports from this great website, but also because we received good communication from the owners early in our enquiries which I always think is important. This villa and location was the best we have stayed in to-date (and certainly not the most expensive we have stayed in), scoring highly on quality of accomodation, space, location, and service. We stayed a week in February. The grounds are lovely, the (shared) pool is large and warm because it is in the sun most of the day, and everthing inside and outside is well maintained. The bird life that can be attracted onto the veranda is like being at Grafton bird sanctuary. Charmaine was delightful, fun and helpful as all the other reports will testify.
It's hard to fault the place...it was that good. But trying hard to do so, loosing three or four hours of peace and tranquility to the sound of the caretaker / gardener / night watchman revving his clapped out car to death as he worked on it during the middle of two days is perhaps a small price to pay, and certainly the only small neggy comment I have, but it might be worth a mention if this is a regular occurance I guess.
Overall a great place to stay, quiet and peaceful in the main, very well maintained and a comfortable and safe place to base yourself in Tobago. Highly recommended.
