My family and I stayed at Sunset Reef Villa in August 2012,to say the least that we were truly disappointed .The villa was
not prepared for our arrival which was confirmed via e mails to the owner. The pool was out of service for almost two days as they were doing maintenace as they were not aware of our arrival, the house was not cleaned also ,we had two babies with us ,so we took it upon ourselves to clean our rooms and the villa so that we could be comfortable, there was not even a good broom or mop, we had to buy a mop.The toilet in one of the rooms overflowed that same night ,which we had to clean up also. The yard was mossy and I slipped and fell while trying to get a hose to rinse off ourselves after comming from the beach,we could not use the much talked about phone booth as it needed to be throughly cleaned and it had a leak that when bathing the water would run off into the pool,The yard and surrounding garden was unkept and uncut.I complained and e mail the owner as to our situation,The manager Gus , whom we knew because we stayed at another villa( where we absoutley had no issues) he manages was truly wonderful in trying to get things fixed and organised as well as cathy the maid.It took two days out of our vacation as we had to bear all the noise that went with cutting the grass and pressure washing the yard, which took two days and was not completed ,the villa is a lovely villa in a nice location but needs much maintenance to be as advertised.I e mailed the owner asking him for a refund because of the incovenience we endured , i have had no response.I might add that we looked at the guest book and there were many favourable entries except for the one written just before we stayed ,they were disappointed too.If they read this may be they can express their disapointment.

My family and I were looking for a home-like atmosphere away from home and we almost found it at Sunset Reef Villa. The villa itself is well designed with a lovely pool and amazing views from the upper bedrooms and the balcony. The beach is really a 2 minute walk away. The house itself is clean and comfortable.
However the bathrooms and kitchen need some serious refurbishment. The bathrooms were clean and working but there were a lot of cracks in the bathtub. The kitchen itself is in need of a total overhaul, it is old with very used dishes and utensils. The surroundings were not very well kept, the yard was dirty, the garden a bit overgrown and the telephone booth shower was covered with scum.
That being said, we did enjoy ourselves thoroughly. It's an excellent location. We enjoyed early morning sea bathing, breakfast on the balcony with the birds, sunset views, the pool, even a movie in the little entertainment room. The housekeeper is very friendly and efficient and explained to us that the owners are having some financial difficulties which would explain the state of the villa.
We do hope that they can fix up the place to its former standard (from the reviews in the guestbook) so that we can return one day.

We hired Clive and Jane's villa - Sunset Reef in May 2011 for our wedding. They helped us organise the day, making sure the villa looked perfect - and it was. They took out all the stress that can happen in a run up to a wedding and our day was all the more memorable because of it. The villa was immaculate - they even decorated it with fairy lights and flowers which made it look beautiful and romantic. I can't recommend them enough for your fairytale wedding. Thank you so much!

I've been fortunate enough to travel the caribbean extensively during the past
42 years,be it on business or pleasure, some details I would spare you and some
I would be happy to share,But I have to say by far the most pleasurable is the one I have just experienced at Sunset Reef Blackrock Tobago .
The very name conjures up dreams of a romantic Villa with fabulous sunsets and
an atmosphere of a well earned Caribbean holiday .And it truly is.
I probably would never had found this place had I not been eavesdropping on a coversation in Coco restaurant by two couples who had just returned for a second stay at Sunset Reef.
The Villa boasts exactly what it says it has, spectacular views, wonderful sunsets, beautiful air conditioned rooms, private grounds,a beautiful kidney shaped pool and wait for this!?--A genuine English Red Telephone Box adjacent
to the pool for your shower,Honestly!.
Pippa my wife is naturally concerned about security ,however we were relieved to find more than adequate security systems installed, cameras, burglar alarm, and a secured fence around, the property is within sight of a good class hotel and their security services. The RESULT .Two weeks of Heaven!
Motto; Eavesdrop when you can!!

Sunset Reef villa on Grafton Beach has got to be the best place to stay on the island of Tobago.
The fantastic views, only a stroll from the beach, the sea laping on the golden sand and the fantastic sun sets are only a few things to mention.
The ideal place for a Caribbean wedding this villa ticks all the boxes i would recommend Sun Set Reef to any one who is considering getting married on the island of Tobago.
Myself and family cannot wait to go back.
Thank you to all the management for looking after us and Jane and Clive for allowing us to stay in their part of paradise.
